Minecraft Name: t_bone199205 Suggestion: Restructuring the kit system by implementing points that you would need to spend to use a kit. What this means is that instead of donating for one specific kit, you would donate for points to use for the purchase of a kit each round. This would allow for users to use any kit they like without being limited to the permanent ones they have purchased. This would also allow for more donations to be brought into the server seeing as you would run out of points eventually and run have to buy more. The interface that is used for our new /travel and /shop commands would potentially work perfectly for this. Before each match, you would type /kit and the kit menu would pop up. Within that Menu you would have the option to choose between which tier you would like to purchase from. Once you choose a tier, you will have the option to choose which kit you would like to use. Once that is done you would receive the kit once the game starts. Now for how kits would be set up. There would be 3 tiers of kits, each tier getting more expensive to buy than the last one. Tier 1 kits would contain 1 item, tier 2 two items, and tier 3 three items. Depending on how powerful or useful each kit would be, the points it would cost to buy them would be more. Each round would also limit the purchase of 1 kit per game. Tier 1 Kit Examples; Stone Sword/Sharp I - 10 PointsStone Sword/Unbreaking III - 10 PointsWood Sword/Knockback I - 15 PointsWood Sword/Fire Aspect I - 20 PointsBow/Power I - 15 PointsBow/Unbreaking III - 15 PointsBow/Infinity I - 30 PointsTier 2 Kit Examples; Stone Sword/Sharp I : Bow/Power I - 50 PointsStone Sword/Unbreaking III : Bow/Unbreaking III - 50 PointsWood Sword/Fire Aspect I : 2 Splash Potions of Healing I - 60 PointsTier 3 Kit Examples; Leather Chest/Protection I : Leather Pants/Protection I : Leather Boots/Feather Falling II - 100 PointsStone Sword/Sharp I : Bow/Power I : 2 Splash Potions of Weakness - 120 PointsThese examples are just ones I threw together for the sake of an explanation. I however would not like to see any kits that stray too far from the ideas used within the examples. The amount of points you could buy, could be set up something like this; $10 - 500 Points$20 - 1100 Points$50 - 3100 PointsNow, for everyone who has already purchased kits (not including /kit vsg), they would be given points equal to the amount they have spent on kits. Reason: This change would help to balance the kits a little more, while letting all users who wish to use them do so. The restriction of only using the few kits you've purchased would be removed as well. It would also allow for more donations to be made to the server. Any Other Information: The examples I have set up are not what I am arguing for. The idea as a whole is what I am trying to get at. The examples just help spell out what I mean. -1, Donating for the kit is perfect, 'Points' is just not needed they are complicated and would just cause chaos to the current kit owners. -7amoodw
-1 I personally think that this would be unfair, considering that there are many people that have already donated for kits themselves (including me and 7amoodw) and setting up this system would most likely turn the $15-$20 dollars (or more) into nothing. So unless they gave us a donation in return for the amount of money spent on the kits, then this is not a very wise idea.
I specifically said "Now, for everyone who has already purchased kits (not including /kit vsg), they would be given points equal to the amount they have spent on kits."
Regardless, it would still be unfair. As someone who plays SG a lot, these points would be gone in no time making these points worthless. I paid $50+ on kits so far and if they were to be changed into points I would have regretted buying them. This would have a very negative impact on the server because people will look back and see that donations may not be worth it. Besides, the kit examples you listed were terrible. We might as well remove kits if the only thing you can get is a sharp 1 stone sword. I might as well get an iron sword out of one of the many chest on the map. -1.
