This is a mojang protocol issue. We possibly could block joining on minechat, but that's about it, and it would only work with the ones that have the join message.
@JamieSinn Sorry if the original post was confusing. I did not mean join SG on your phone. In order to be invisible on your computer, simply log on to ECC from minechat then log on to ECC from your computer and you should be invisible.
I am very aware of this bug. I've been fighting it for quite some. I was referring about preventing minechat from joining the server at all.
