SG For Dummies As a kit owner, I would expect myself to be at least decent at SG. Well, that isn't the truth. I need some tips, and pointers on how to be good in SG. SG never has, and never will be my strength; that is building. However, I do find playing an SG game here and there is really fun, and I love the thrill. Thanks, Iticip
Nowadays, it seems modifying a texture pack to see invisible people's particles more easily is the way to go. Some people use neon colors for particles, and others just just big black squares.
I realized that I was a played a lot better after I completely changed my strategy. I don't focus on kills. I focus on surviving. However, you need to kill the others to survive. Don't go all kill-all-or-die-trying mode. Play strategically. Attack when you know you have the upper hand and don't let the opponent get the upper hand. Avoid people when needed but remember that they will need to eventually die for you to win. Good luck!
It's helpful, but I don't think I really agree with changing texture packs for the sole purpose of seeing invis players.
I don't like it, but you can't really enforce it. I can usually see normal particles fine, as well as footsteps.
~*~Nicit's Guide to Not Sucking in SG~*~ 1. Learn your enemies.People tend to use the same strategies. Know whose strategies are weak and those whose aren't. Once you've learned what your enemy can do you, this gives you an advantage by knowing how they'll react to your attack. 2. Don't get into fights you don't think you can win. It's fight or flight. You see your enemy, he doesn't see you. Should you attack him? Hm... your leather armor vs his MIQ? Best not. Avoid him, see if someone else manages to finish him, or try attacking him after he fights someone else. 3. The final four. This is it. One more dead, and deathmatch begins. Fighting now will determine the outcome of deathmatch. Avoid the powerful, you don't want to go into deathmatch with just 1 heart. Play strategically, any damage now will have an enormous cost. 4. Have fun!Ain't no point of playing sg if you're not having fun. If something begins to bother you, stop playing for a bit. You'll see this cooldown will give you better results than just playing through it.
Here are a few of my tips I overcame to become a better player: Use a mouse, not a trackpad. This results in faster clicking. Create or find a team. It makes for a much easier game and exponential fun. Create a route for each SG arena to collect the most chests possible. Buy some kits. They were made to be used and win with. Create a routine on when you use your kits in each arena.
This is helpful, however, I would advise creating several routes for each map that you can cycle through so people can't "figure you out."
Use lag to your advantage. I myself am I kit owner (cc, working towards the "+" version) and have learned a few tricks. The ticks between players is definitely different, meaning that you can literally run behind someone, hit them twice, they turn around, hit you once and boom, you win.
