Minecraft Username: DexNumber637 Brief Description: When SG Deathmatch begins, you are teleported and the teleportation will not account for changes in Y-Coordinates. Ergo meaning that if you are 40 blocks above the teleport destination you will fall 40 blocks (and die), with the same applying if you are # of blocks below the teleport destination, causing you to fall below the ground and so on so forth. Instructions: Survive until Deathmatch in SG How many times did you recreate this bug?: 3; 2 times it was me, 1 with another person (falling) Result: Unfair loss of SG or a cripple in Deathmatch Expected Result: Teleporting to your position in Deathmatch while also changing your Y-Coordinate to the proper postition. Evidence: Bandicam crashes my computer, and I have < 2 seconds to take a snapshot for an event that occurs at a random time... so -- eh...
I wish changes like these would be thoroughly tested before the additions are added because there are so so so many bugs with the changes. I wish the changes were reverted back so SG DM would stop suffocating people, teleporting people under the map, teleporting people to random locations, or not teleporting people at all
This apparently can also teleport you underneath the map as well. The Y-Coordinates in the teleportation seem to be off.
When it teleports you, it keeps your y coord. Spoiler: evidence So make sure you're standing close to the y value of the spawn area or you're gonna get ded.
Just had a Sg where I wasn't teleported for the 10 second deathmatch timer. At the end of the 10 seconds i was teleported into dirt and began suffocating.
I believe I've found the root cause of the issue The Y: co-ordinate is not being set correctly when the TP occurs; it keeps your current Y-coords. For example, if in SG2 people were on the spaceship, then when they get TP'd in DM they get TP'd to the right X/Z co-ords but they stay on the spaceship cause their Y is so high. Similarly, if you're high up in the mountains on SG4 for example, and you get TP'd for DM, you fall from however high you were, causing you to take huge fall damage. People are falling through SG4 because if they are below the spawn ground height, they fall to the bottom because SG4 is hollow. As a further example in SG1, if you are swimming in the water during the TP, then you get TP'd under the ground and suffocate under the ground. Fixing this should fix most problems @JamieSinn
Mel's sent me quite a long list of proof for this. I had known that this was the cause since this morning, thing is. This is actually an old issue that I just uncovered by adding the 10 second wait. Once I get my home network back under stable conditions I'll be back working on this.
