Yup. Very big maintenance according to the twitter feed. According to that we can expect a thread regarding it within 6-7 hours.

I'm still having a problem logging on, how long is it going to be offline for?

It's coming back. Andrew will have a news post shortly. Apparently, if the shoutbox is to believe, two longtime users of the server (both Tycoons) abused some sort of situation and the server will be rolled back to 10 am yesterday.

 

Server is back up. 50 minutes ago.

 

Pretty sure it was less than 50 minutes ago. But it's up.

 

Both with a history of scamming. Good riddance!

Anyways, the server showed offline, then the logo showed up but there was no players. When I tried to join, it would fail.

 

And not just any history, the biggest one I know. Most of their scams were never caught.
