Minecraft Name: Roanmara Suggestion: Create rules protecting the worlds legacy and rising from being mined in. Reason: I mean, there is a mining world. Even though there is one, too often builders are running a bit ways out of town and creating mines. I attempt to persuade them to mine in the actual mining world, but they never listen, and I hate that they are doing this in town worlds. Other Information: This has especially been happening outside of my town- Darnassus and the town next to mine- Buildtopia. I know that this wont keep everyone from mining in legacy/rising, but at least would hopefully keep areas around towns from being destroyed due to mining, as the owner would probably notice. Link to this plugin/Is this a custom addition?: Not a plugin. Just a rule suggestion,.
This would also increase the need for a larger mining world itself. Since most of those players that mine in legacy and rising would be diverted there. I am not disagreeing with your post just simply stating something that would need to change at the same time.
-1 it would get new players banned, and if some one says it can always just be a warning, then what is the point of the rule?
Like I said it wouldn't keep everyone from mining in rising/legacy. I do think it would help decrease how often it is happening. I also don't necessarily think that the mining world would need to be bigger- but maybe just reset a bit more often. There are a lot of ways to go about this, and I mean I feel like these worlds should be more protected as they aren't made for mining in.
There would also be a massive amount of discretion for staff when enforcing this sort of rule. Where would the line be drawn between mining in the main worlds and legitimately clearing space?
This would honestly be a mess to enforce, and you don't even define what exactly constitutes as "mining". The rules already state we can build and place blocks in unprotected land in the Rising and Legacy worlds, and this would further complicate rules by drawing a line to the rules already stating what you can do in unprotected areas - Adding to the huge mess and unneeded complexity that the rules already have. Not feasible, not implementable, and not logical. -1
What if, instead of punishing players for mining in the normal worlds. We just make the ore return no materials, and then have a chat message show saying that the player can only mine for profit in the designated mining world.
This would be a mess to implement (I think), and it would also mean that town owners who legitimately clear their land get nothing as well
