-1 A mob drop that is also available by a donation kit in the star store? I think star items should be inaccessible by other means. Just my opinion.
Sorry I will have to agree with Emau, I have extended creations and i am able to get some gunpowder with /kit mobs. Sorry -1
Oh I have made one before using my kits. And why would you spend your nether stars when you can buy from players for $30 at the most?
There isn't enough gunpowder on the market to supply fireworks for large scale projects. Its not a matter of money but instead a matter of available quantity.
I agree. Yet following supply and demand of 'luxury' products, I do believe if it were added, it should be expensive.
-1. NStar store is for unobtainables and things you cannot create or find in the game through normal gameplay (excluding CDs and anything else unobtainable because of ECC's setup). People can get gunpowder with ECC's current setup. They are not unobtainables and can be found through normal gameplay (or could - not sure on mob situation in Mining World or Nether). Gunpowder is also available in at least one kit, if not two - I thought I heard mention that the kits you get with Nether give gunpowder, but I am not positive. In the case of a firework show, it is probably better that you cannot have one easily. Main reason is that fireworks cause a lot of lag. As well, having gunpowder as it currently is creates another market, that imho we really need. Destroying or hindering the market by putting gunpowder into the NStar store will, well... We keep losing markets due to things going where they shouldn't and being available in ways they don't need to be.
Isn't it in kit mobs as well? Also, not so long ago I sold 3 stacks of gunpowder from saving up by killing creepers, ghasts and the kit. It only took me a couple of weeks. Now if you get multiple people to sell you gunpowder..
Yes, and /kit mobs. Yet that being said, I had the hardest time making a giant firework show. I bought out a good chunk of the ECC supplies when Tommy and I did a retirement firework show for Jetscat. It wasn't about the cost, the issue was the supply.
I don't understand how you guys think that there is actually a viable gunpowder market. For a viable gunpowder market to exist there must be a use for the powder, and in our current setup gunpowder is useless. We can't make splash potions and we can't have firework shows (due to small supply), so I don't understand why someone would need the powder. However, increasing the supply will give the powder a purpose thus creating a new market.
Well personally, I would make weekly firework shows if I had access to a steady supply of Gunpowder... regardless of the price of gunpowder.
Gun powder is available from dungeons as well. The problem is that it tends to be thrown away or /sell by builders who are not aware of it's value. Personally I have 3 or 4 stacks of it. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
I myself recently did a firework show with gunpower that I had. It really isn't hard to get. Just ask for it in trade. It adds up. There are plenty of people who have gunpower laying around and they don't even know it. To put it in a store with items such as melon swords, chain armor, eff 7 picks, andAll the rare CD's. Gunpowder just doesn't belong there.
Maybe that would work for a single event, but I want to host firework events regularly and I want to wire fireworks for special effects in my redstone movie theater. I doubt I would be able to acquire multiple chests of gunpowder with the current setup.
Perhaps instead of gunpowder, special fireworks could be put in the star store, like the ones Khobbits has. I don't think the designs in his are obtainable through crafting.
If I recall, they all are... each just needs a different ingredient(s) in the firework star. The issue with putting fireworks in the nstar store is that fireworks are extremely customize-able. There are thousands of combinations one could have.
