There has to be a way to create a mod or alter a mod to make it where you could put enchanted items in signs to sell at shops. It would open up the market more.
First off, a shot lesson in Minecraft Multiplayer. ECC has no mods, means means that you (the player) would have to download them. I don't recall downloading anything when I logged in. What the server uses is something called a "plug-in". Like mod, except I don't need to download it, only the server. The current Trade sign Plug-in doesn't allow for this, but I see no reason why it couldn't be tweaked...
I read that the this sever tweaks their own plugins to make the gaming experience unique. I would think with all they've done so far this sign tweaking would be simple. I could be wrong though.
Nah, the problem is more with Minecraft in general. Enchantments are a type of Named Binary Tag; just like named items, colored armor, and written books. These NBTs are incredibly annoying to work with, so most plugin Devs just give a warning that enchantments will be stripped from items rather than add the features. So yeah, it's more-so a problem of effort vs reward. To give you an idea of the annoyance they cause, I felt like tearing my eyes out after creating a command-based armor coloring plugin. Not going through that again. :c
And that's where the wall stops and the technical land of ones and zero's comes into play, and Jason has to stop talking.
