Well, the server just went down... I was fighting in a dungeon, with 2 max picks, a pumpkin axe, a maxed sword, maxed Shovel, and materials. I am fighting, and suddenly, am unable to hit, so i try to run, i cant do this either, so i have went from 3/4 health to 1/2 now, so i do what most would /home . Guess what, it wouldnt let me either, so i tried again, and again, and again, and o yeah, again. so now i am at 1.5 hearts, so i hit /sethome in a desperate attempt to save the spot since ik i have no option except die, due to the server being screwy. This also fails. so BAM i am dead, it tells me im dead, then immediately kicks me off, so yeah, i cant even write down coords..... now i sign back on, it says "you have died" and i have nothing now, soooo what should i do? I am seriously considering quitting this game, cause i had worked hard for all of that, and had just spent thousands on that sword. Really, what can i do? Is there a way to get the items reinstated since it was due to the server being screwy? Anyone who helps me out, will get some type of return in game if i get my items back. If i don't, I'm probably quitting... Thanks
No, I do apologize for your loss. No staff here (unless they take it in their own hands) is going to reinstate your items via use of server powers. The best thing to do, is shrug it off, and work hard to fix your accident. In fact, I tried to get someone to transport my horse for me, no one would, so I decided to ride Spirit all across ECC, just to get to my Town. You know what happened? I fell (on Spirit) 3 blocks, died, and could never find/ reclaim my lost items. Although I had full health (minus a heart or two), I apparently died (I lagged as well), due to reoccurring frames. Go figure. After an hour of searching for my death spot, I finally gave up, became depressive, and decided to say "F*** you death, I'm gonna reclaim my stuff!!". Went home to my farm, earned a good $2000 ECD, and made me some tools and what not. Now, I'm rolling in some real swish Golden Armor, to show my wealth (pffft, yeah. wealth of $8k some ECD).
It was a nice story. It reminded me of a time when I was using the Towns portal system to update the Portal Directory. I usually have fly enabled and it seems that if the exit has a 1/2 slab at the top edge of the bottom obsidian edge of the portal, that I most likely will fall through it. Well, as I stepped through a portal, I was suddenly disconnected. When I relogged in, fly was shut off because I had been on the ground, but I still fell through the 1/2 slab... into a ridiculously deep pit... I don't know why anyone would make a 3x3 square pit directly underneath the portal landing zone... As I did die, I dropped 64 torches, 16 signs, and a an amount of cookies. Well, this experience prompted me to purchase the /back command. On my next session, I tested the command and oddly enough my inventory filled with my belongings before the chunks and blocks of the bottom of the pit loaded again. Huzzah! Cookies! Alas, as this was a pit, there was no way for me to get out. I subsequently purchased TP+ to get access to /top so I may leave said super deep pits.
Wow. That almost made me cry (I'm too man for that). And does the "/top" command work for players with TP Basic?
I've lost many enchanted tools and money on this server. Your first big hit should not effect your view of the server. Just brush the dirt off and keep keepin on.
