Was given 1 red and 1 brown mushroom to start. Made a dark room, attempted to plant the brown. Got a "shroom thumb fail" error and both mushrooms vanished from my inventory. I only ever tried placing the brown.

I can see being screwed out of the brown if the planting conditions were not acceptable (which they were) but losing the red hurt my future on this block as well.

Is this a bug? Is there any way to get those 2 mushrooms back?

Asked in chat and out of like 30 people on, no one had any clue or helpful information. Hoping it's a bit more successful here.

    What server was this on?
If you screwed up on SkyBlock you can always reset the island, or ask someone in chat to buy extra mushrooms from them.

Can confirm that Shroom Thumb attempts to use both mushroom types per plant attempt. Also, despite making sure the light level is 0, every attempt to plant a mushroom results in shroom thumb attempting to activate. Mushrooms can only grow into giant mushrooms on dirt, grass, coarse dirt, and mycelium. I've been able to recreate this problem on all but mycelium (which doesn't require darkness, and can't be shroom thumbed). In the past, as long as the light level was appropriate you could plant the mushroom no problem, but it seems there's a problem with shroom thumb now. Tried using 1.13.2 and 1.12.2, and it doesn't seem to be a version problem.

This happens to me too. If I just have one type of mushroom on me when trying to plant, it doesn’t seem to do it, only when o have both types on me.

    It is indeed on skyblock.

@Enegek I believe this will be fixed by accepting the mcmmo suggestion currently in the suggestion forum?
    Please let me know.

If so I will have this fixed up soon :).
