This is an idea I had earlier today. Basically I am going to be creating a PvP facility with an arena, and then iron bars(or glass) so people can watch the fights go on. The fights will be 1v1s regulated, winner keeps other persons gear. There will be rules that will be made as I continue this project, they will include the obvious such as no tping away, no flying, no cheating. Any breakage of these rules will result in 1 warning. You only get 1. Break another and you are banned from the arena and the town itself. If a user is deemed hacking he will be put under review, if it comes positive he will be banned from the town and arena with no chance of appeal. This will solve many problems the current PvP world has, such as loot thieves, running, logging, hacking. This will also have a more connected PvP environment, and will give those who enjoy watching fights the ability to safely sit back and enjoy some PvP (almost like live sports). There will be more info on the idea soon but I wanted to see some feedback on the idea. I am also looking for people who would like to co own / moderate the facility with me, these users will be the ones who moderate the town and run the 1v1s and such. Co owners will most likely be added to the users who contribute to the funding of the project (pm me on the forums for more info on this). I don't think he's aiming to make this a competition. - Correct me if I'm wrong, but the way you wrote this, it makes it seem like you want to get rid of the current "nooby" PvP arena environment, and replace it with a hardcore pvp environment. If so, +1, this should go in suggestions.
Correctemundo, regulated 1v1s (2v2s, tournaments, etc, main focus is on 1v1s though as they are easiest to control). Ran by people that know what they're doing. Also this is not a suggestion this is an idea I have that I will almost 100% take on as a project.
I wasn't looking at it as a competition, I was just saying that this would greatly improve the ability of players to host PvP tournaments. Also, I'd be completely willing to help with this if you'd have me. I love building PvP arenas.
so basically you want to moderate 1v1s.... tell you the truth i wouldn't trust something like this unless i was friends with you for awhile new about the arena heard things about it. All in all its highly unlikely i dont think you should waste your time. As well pvp is pretty much dead, so unless it makes a miraculous recovery then you re out of luck. Also to continue my ramble 1v1s turn 2v1s with running loot stealing are a large portion of what makes pvp what it is. They may not be the good side of it but its gotta happen sometimes or its kinda boring. Anyway thats my opinion dont bother.
Let me explain, there are rules. If you don't follow them you will be banned from the town, at the same time being banned from the Arena. It is regulated which means if there is a 2v1 situation we would either A allow you to tp away, or B have our guards jump into the fight and kill the rule breakers. The rule breakers would be banned from the town no chance of returning. If they set a home inside they will have to deal with the staff team. There is no need to trust when there are rules applied. The rules that are applied basically make the PvP safer and more enjoyable. If you do not agree / do not like the rules that will be put in place feel 100% free to pvp in the PvP world. Loot thiefs will not happen, as there are 2 blocked off cages, then glass over the top. If a thief does steal loot (which is hard to being with) they will be banned from the town aswell, no warnings given.
lol jeez calm down guy. Also you completely missed my point take the time to actually read through post before flipping out. Just for the record im not trying to insult you im just stating my opinion on the matter in that if i were you i wouldn't waste my time. Also one other point (plz no freak out about it) is that there is fly and tp in main world no one will let themselves die like in pvp they will tp out and/or fly away. And in case you didn't know im not just some random troll posting on here trying to bring you down, ive pvped on ECC for a very long time and know a thing or two. Just tryin to save you some time.
Since when was I flipping out? I was defending my idea. If you re read my post I said there is rules, if someone tps away they are banned from the Arena. It is a privilege to be able to fight and not have to worry about loggers, hackers, tpers, and loot thieves. Also, no one ever said you had to fight at the Arena Anyhow it is not a waste of time because A, I already have a bunch of people interested, and B, I am enjoying myself doing this.
Ok im just telling you my view on this arena. Logging will still happen, tping out will still happen and it will get to the point no1 will even fight there. Also if you just ignore other opinions youre never gonna improve at anything or make anything you do better. Im telling you the problems and if i were you id look further into them.
As I stated the only option I have with rule breakers is removing them from the arena, permanently. Hopefully people choose to make the right choice and make this idea fun for everyone.
