After a while I decided to visit the nether again - and what do I find? This! I remember nether spawn what it looked like after the last reset, and it is still the same - except this (likely player-made) hole. However, how can there be such a big hole at spawn although it is a protected area where nobody can build/break anything? Could anybody tell me what happened here?
It is inside the protected area. THe protected area stretches until the burning workbench in the background.
I understand there is a 25 block area around the spawn that carries a ban from nether for a certain amount of time. To quote Andrew:
To answer the questions. Blame Morthanos... he worldedited TNT and blew it up at spawn. We tried to stop him, but one does not simply stop Morthanos.
I just got survivor and was looking around the nether and I saw the havoc at the spawn area well at least this spawn area will be reset in about a week. I almost fell down the huge hole too.
Alright, since andrewkm is currently recreating a new nether, a mod could lock this thread. But...who is Morthanos?
I remember reporting this in global and @Core_Diver rebuilt a platform and clogged up some lava at spawn while I rebuilt a few bridges. I thought this was dealt with
Only took a quick look at spawn before the reset, but it looked solved. Anyway, we'll get a new nether today...I hope.
