Minecraft Name: Unabating Suggestion: Either buff the amount of ecodollars that you can make in an hour with star tools, or reduce the amount of money that you make by playing the Survival Games. (But really, you can't buff everything, so you just need to nerf Survival Games.) Reason: The reason I am suggesting this is because you can currently make three to four times the amount made with a star tool (depending on the tool) per hour by playing Survival Games. It isn't logical that the top-tier, overpowered tools that so much of the economy is based around (the nether star trade yields star tools after exhaustive work, and should reward that work accordingly), are blown out of the water by a minigame that does not relate to the concept of an economy server. This is a "hardcore" economy server, right? Why is it that a minigame obliterates the amount of money that you can make with tools that cost ~1,000,000 ecodollars apiece? Additionally, with the changes to the end that will (reportedly) allow upwards of 60 to 70 thousand ecodollars to be made per hour, that would dwarf the amount of money that can be made with these overpowered tools. Other Information: Melon Sword: 15-18k per hour. * Efficiency 7 Pickaxe: 16-20k per hour. * Star rod: 10-15k per hour. * Survival Games: 40-60k per hour. * * figures were obtained from various user input in /ch v Feedback is welcomed. Edit: Please, please, stop making the "only a few hours per day" argument. You shouldn't be able to make multiple times the star tool money for ANY amount of hours per day. Edit#2: To make the maximum amount of money with star tools, you need to spend close to another million ecodollars in additional features (more, usually). The argument of survival game kit costs outweighing the difference in money you can make, therefore, is invalid.
Absolutely. According to your data, doubling star tool profit for melon swords and eff7s would be just over half the amount that sg is able to make. That's incredibly unfair. The cost for SG is around 2,000,000 as StoneIronZ says a few posts down. However, to use an eff7 you require the tool itself ($1,000,000), ExtCommands+ ($750,000), Pyro+ ($225,000), the not required but extremely useful Fly+ ($900,000), and the also not required but extremely useful Water+ ($225,000), and possibly Back ($112,500), McmmoPlus3 ($450,000), and McmmoBonusPlus3 ($675,000) For a total of... $4,337,500 Without the not required features, it is still $1,975,000, which is almost the exact same cost to SG. +1
+1. I do not think SG should be nerfed, rather I think other methods of making money should be buffed considerably.
-1 It's really really really hard to make 40-60k and hour in SG now. When it was tripled and players were excited about the change maybe, but not now when it's only doubled and half the time SG is dead. I make 18-23k an hour with 4,000,000 ecd worth of kits consistently now, which seems about right since star tools are only 1,000,000.
To make the 40k-60k per hour you have to at least own Buffer++(625,000), MIQ++(562,500), CC++(337,500), and Perfect Fit++(450,000). This total, almost 2,000,000, is twice, if not more than twice the cost of a star tool. Honestly, I dunno. 0 EDIT: In order to make 40-60k per hour, you need to have these kits and the skill to beat other players who use the same kits. ALSO, the 40-60k per hour is not a consistent amount. You can only do this during peak hours (3-4 hours max). With star tools, you can make a consistent amount, anytime you want. -1
-1 I think it is fine the way it is. To do well in sg you need 2 mil+ in kits (2 times the cost of star tools) and tons of pvp skills not to mention sg is dead most of the time. I think right now the payouts from star tools and sg are set up fine. Also I make 25k+ an hour with an eff7 which I think is fair right now if that was doubled it would cause a crazy amount of inflation.
-1 Rarely people make 40-60k and hour playing sg. I make close to 20k an hour at most with ccp,eap and brp
If SG really does reliably make more money than anything else I'd really expect there to be more than literally 2 people playing during peak. Literally 2.
An amount of skill goes into making that much per hour while pvping so I don't think it should equal the numbers stated, I could play pvp all day and make a few k. However, the sheer amount of the gap is unsettling. Players who have grinded many hours to get star tools should be able to approach the income of someone who has spent that time getting skilled in pvp or buying kits. However I doubt this suggestion will gain much traction because I believe the focus will be on the new end. Someday down the line we are going to have to try to even them out a bit though.
To all of the people saying you need 2m+ in kits; you're wrong. You're assuming that you need EVERY kit to make this sort of money. You do not. You can make comparable amounts of money with less than 1M worth of kits, especially when considering feature boosters. Additionally, perhaps we've not really grasped a large portion of the issue here. You can make the most money by doing something that is FUN. By grinding with tools worth 1,000,000 ECD, you don't make as much as you can by playing a minigame. *sigh*
Maybe you should consider investing in kits if you think it is so great? I can totally see where you're coming from - but honestly you can barely make anything from SG anymore. The only way I can make above 20k is by risking 20k (hosting 20k SG's to peak users interest).
I dun no I definitely wouldn't want to bump star tools at the moment, that wouldn't be a good thing for our economy. Making the amount of money you can in the end is justified because there is great risk. BUT, Star Tools cost much more then what you buy them for if you want to efficiently make money i.e repair+, pyro+ etc. So.. I really just don't know lol. Also, it's really hard to make that amount now when not as many people play SG. Back a couple years ago I wouldn't be surprised if you could make well over 60k/hour in SG.
