Minecraft Name: NinjarakuPwnz Suggestion: a Disposal sign that implements the /sell hand command, basically a sign that sells to server but when used opens an interface like the Disposal sign does. Reason: you could get rid of items from your inventory like you would a disposal sign, but items that are worth money to the server that are placed in it, would give you the money as if you did the /sell hand or /sell itemdb. Any Other Information: may either throw items on the ground that can't be sold to server like when you walk away from a workbench while it has items on it, or it simply disposes of the items that are worth nothing. Link To This Plugin: none. may need to make a re-coded version of the plugin for Disposal signs.
The only problem i see with this is that disposal signs were made for the items you cant get rid of, you can simply do /sell hand. However, this seems like it would be a great convience if this was implemented. +1
In my opinion, sounds like a pain to code, and while the result will be pretty cool, it sounds like a tad bit much work with a tad few bugs for something that's basically a way to make lazy people lazier You can always do /sell hand. Also, I have no idea what you mean by "leave items in a workbrench" You can't leave items in a crafting table. They spew out when you close the interface. And if my items go sold everytime I left them on the ground, well, I can already see a bagillion issues. Disposal signs, as far as I know, weren't made with this in mind. Since I'm no programmer, we'll have to wait until Kuke lumbers around to explain the coding side. As far as the other side goes, there are better projects to work on in my opinion. This seems cool, but probably isn't worth the time, and bugs, it would take to get working.
Jason1964 Coding this thing is easy; scrapping items from an inventory is one of the basic bukkit tutorials. Also, the OP means that the items will be dropped onto the ground if they cannot be sold, or trashed if using the other implementation. Honestly, this would be kind of neat; a lot of interesting set-ups could be done with this, though this would have to be paired with a command-blocking flag in a region for half of them to work. Never-the-less, one small step at a time.
Er, no, if they couldn't be sold then the sign would get rid of them right? As long as this "selling items automatically" thing is strictly limited to disposal signs, and not stuff dumped on the ground or ect, then I'm fine with it. Anything more then that, and I'm against it.
+1 This is an Amazing Idea. I support! Maybe you could link it to the person who made the sign somehow so if they threw there items away the sign would /sell hand it and give the profits to you. This would increase the value of Ext-Creations and make some passive income for Mayors or Entrepreneurs
Or, make it so that the sign creator gets a 10% tax or so. If this gets paired up with a command-blocking flag on a world-guard region, I could see a new type of public farm being implemented or so, where the only fee is the sign inside the farming area. Would be a pain to implement, but still would be pretty cool.
We don't need to tax everything I want my town to have a free use disposal sign, what choice do I have now? None, because it takes their money and gives it to me.
that was my point to it's possible mechanic, when you have an item in the sign that can't be sold to server, it simply spew's the item(s) out when you close the sign's interface. And mainly just wanted to throw the idea out there, if it gets implemented or not. it would be one of those things like the disposal sign has come to be, you could toss your items into that deep body of water, or you could have a sign to take care of your unwanted items, that can also save you the time of typing /sell hand for each different item you want to sell to server if your holding Multiple item types, not to make lazy people lazier, but to bring simplicity to performing every day server tasks =) And I totally agree it would bring yet another money earning thing for people with ExtCreations to create for other players. May be less desirable if there was a tax implemented to it with a possible mechanic to give the person who /cpublic LWC'd the sign to get 10% of items sold to it which would be deducted from what the player selling to it would earn, but this would Reduce the "want" for the Server-Sell Sign if there is a cost to use it each time. Epic Feedback Everyone Thanks =)
you can, but same reason why are there disposal signs when you can toss items down a hole; For Convenience =) Simplicity of a drag & drop interface instead of doing "/sell hand" if you have several different items to sell.
Tossing stuff is a lot more time consuming than using the /sell command, so it makes sense to have Disposal signs. I feel like the /sell command is going to be a lot faster than using a sign. You have go to the sign to even use it.
If you have a sign readily set up it is much faster and easier then /sell handing your items. You can only /sell hand 1 item at a time and they have to be in your hotbar. Although you can resend this quickly you still need to move them to your hotbar to do so. Shift clicking all of your unwanted Items into a sign would be much quicker and give you much more control over what you are doing.
you can type out item names so they don't have to be in your hotbar. /sell blocks /sell all /sell cobble /sell melon /sell coal are all examples.
put away the stuff you don't want to sell and type /sell all There's no need to overcomplicate things.
It's a new thing that would help. There's no reason not to add this. Everyone who's against this I really don't understand just cause there is ways to do this were creating a shortcut that makes it easier.
I see no problems with this honestly. EDIT: Maybe only extcreations people can make it [disposal] [$$$]
