PvP is dead in the nether. It has been dead, it is dead, it will be dead. Seeing as we've transformed the end into our savage PvP hell world, the nether should be refocused on PvE. Readd wither skeletons (provided wither skull drops are disabled both in general and from mcmmo). Buff mob spawning, if possible. Strengthen mobs, if possible. All mobs hitting for 2x damage would really be quite fun. Pros: Maybe make the nether more interesting. Get rid of a bug that's been floating around and never seems to be fixed. Cons: Nether gets "easier" because /v and /fly weren't already things /s
What is wrong with it being there? If it is dead, why even bother. After all just knowing that there is PvP still makes you feel less safe. I'm not against the strengthening mobs part, but PvP can stay.
+1 But End needs to be sorted out first Everyone has kind of forgotten about the Nether, i don't think i've come across anyone in the nether to even think about fighting. Bump mob spawning for sure, in both End and Nether though
Stronger mobs, but also more XP. And you shouldn't be able to hit mobs when you're in /v. (The end needs to get fixed first, though)
PvE and cooperating with friends would be fun, also possibly less frustating than PvP. Though hope some mob's damage wouldn't get doubled, some attacks are already deadly enough even if fully armored with full enchants. But still +1
Well, no one really PvP's now as it is, you go into the nether and you can vanish and fly. It makes pvp just not happen at that point if you ask me. I'm pretty sure the main reason the Nether is visited at all these days is purely for resources. Especially quartz. I like the idea of making the Nether more of a resource world, but a much more challenging one.
I really forgot about that aspect. Its not the end after all. I guess PvP is kinda pointless then. But wouldn't you be able to do the same with PvE?
I love the idea! Why disable skull drops? (though I see some mob skulls here and there, such as zombie and skeleton, I have no idea how those were obtained in the first place) Which bug are you referring to? I have investigator and I can't conceive a reasonable scenario where I would use an invisibility potion to hide from mobs. You need to remove all armor in order to make the potion effective and at that point I would feel much less safe. I know I'm not everyone, but I think most of those who have investigation have already some decent enchanted armor and would be more willing to use that rather than invisibility potions. The only time I ever used invisibility potions was when building and maintaining a ghast farm in singleplayer survival, and I was very careful not to carry any valuables with me while invisibly working among hordes of mobs. Mining with a good pick without armor is out of question.
Because they're currently a netherstar shop item - and there's really no need to deal with the issues of making it common when we can simply not.
Well technically, with enough features one doesn't need armor. If mobs can't harm you, pyro+ and fly+ takes care of the other two possible deaths. Just saying.
Using the shake ability you can get most of the mobs skulls, the ones you cannot obtain are in the star shop, or at least that is how it should be last I knew.
I'm a little confused. Do you want the nether to be more dangerous, or do you want it to be a resource world? If you want it to be more dangerous than PvE is gonna need some serious damage boost just to be dangerous to prot 4, and idk what you can do about fly+. If you want a resource world than I think that's a waste of the nether, it should be dangerous. If you want both than increasing PvE damage and spawn rate is fine, but your best bet is gonna still be to just fix the problems PvP has in the end.The absolute best way to make something dangerous is gonna be PvP hands down. Unfortunately though no matter how many suggestions are made they get ignored. Anyway the nether definitely needs some attention.
