Minecraft Name: ShanePvP Suggestion: Remove Punch I from the Complete Control bow or add ender pearls in SG. Reason: Bow spammers. It is almost impossible to catch someone who bow spams with the CC bow even with buffer. Removing Punch I, or adding enderpearls would make it actually possible to fight people who bow spam. So... I'm curious. If this is an issue that makes it "almost impossible" to beat someone with CC, why hasn't there been a previous suggestion about it? I'd imagine that such a major issue would create a lot more complaints and therefore suggestion threads. A quick look through the suggestions forum tells me that https://www.ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/128740 (2 years and 2 days ago) last mentioned CC's Punch bow, and absolutely nobody objected to a18's "Kit is fine currently" opinion. Also, what exactly makes CC so problematic? It can't be Punch I itself, otherwise this suggestion would be about ElementalPunch's more powerful Punch II bow instead. CC and EP bows can't even be spammed indefinitely because only SAF has the Infinity enchantment.
The EP bow is crap as it does the same damage as a regular bow. The CC bow does a lot of damage and it has knock back. Theres also nothing wrong with the CC kit
2 years ago Buffer wasn't nerfed and was still speed II, strength II, which could 2 shot everybody and anybody. Now, because you're slower and not as strong, people can just spam the bow and kill you, especially in the open. (Also, don't get me started on the new "1.9 PvP" which makes it slower to kill people anyway). And also, the punch I is just another enchantment that takes it too far. Last time I checked, the ElementalPunch's bow doesn't have power I and flame I to add to the 3 shot. Even though it can't be spammed forever, there is 10 arrows per chest, and with the right person, 3 to 4 is all that's needed to kill a person with all iron armor on.
I'm fine with the damage output, that's not why I made this suggestion. I made it because WITH the knockback, it makes it extremely hard to hit the person at least once.
The Kit is called "Complete Control" which means you have control of the situation lol. It has punch so nobody can hit you so your in control of the fight
The thread I linked lists Buffer as having a 90 second strength I potion, not II. The buffer change is already pretty old. The thread from 2 years ago was merely used to show that nobody has complained about it since. 1.9 PvP has already been on ECC for almost four months. Four months is a long time - based on the amount of SG games happening per day I would have expected a suggestion to be filed much sooner if it is actually an issue that makes winning "almost impossible". Speaking as someone who hasn't actively played PvP in a long time and was never really good at it: I'd imagine the possibility of using buildings as 'armor', i.e., developing a strategy that uses the environment to one's advantage. Back in - I think - 2015, I tested tactics regarding bow spam evasion at short and medium range. Of course my PvP tests weren't as extensive as my bug tests, so I do admit that I definitely don't know everything about it and potentially lack some key knowledge.
