Lottery Tax Timeline We added a tax in, nobody participated in lottery. We removed it. Lottery was heavily played and enjoyed. We add it back, but instead of 200$, 50$. ???? Why does such tax even exist? The lottery was for the rich to dump their money and recycle it around, and now that we have a tax, it is now impossible to cycle it around infinite times without losing money. Although the current amount of money is increasing, I don't think this is the place to put it. If we want to get rid of money in the economy, increase server store prices of blocks. Edit:I just realized, this completely nulifies some of the effects of sniping. If there was 1 ticket in the lottery, and you enetered more than 19, you'd be LOSING money if you won the lottery.
I think rich shouldn't be able to recycle money without losing some in the process, this makes them earn more money to play again. Might not have worded my opinion correctly so don't bash me
andrew put it in because lotteries became really big and now he can take money out of the economy. don't expect it to be taken out any time soon.
He can easily increase price of server store items, there's other alternatives. After all, the server store is the #1 reason stores don't even sell blocks anymore, besides ore blocks.
EcoCityCraft isn't all about the lottery you know.... Raising prices in the server store isn't a better place to dump money, this affects everyone between upper middle and lower class and the middle/lower class shouldn't have the burden to pay more for blocks just because a few people in the upper class have alot of money they need to waste.
You are always playing lottery. Or plan to, if you find someone to go in with you. Last I knew you had a good deal of money. I do NOT want to see the tax taken out unless a NON-LOTTERY PLAYER gives a very valid reason. You are STILL not giving Andrew's changes a chance, simple because it is BOTHERING YOU an making YOU lose money. Give this a chance before wanting it removed. :/ We have too much money in the economy, lottery is the most played gamed. This is the best way to get rid of money. Maybe after we are back to normal and not inflated, it could be removed.
Alright, i'll wait. Although some may seem like I make money off of the lottery, I'm usually close to the even point. Secondly, with the new chunk updating changes, mcmmo being in and out, money generation is hard to generate at the moment.
Well actually, instead of assuming that I'm the only one complaining about this, there are others, not just me. Although i'm complaining because I dislike it doesn't mean its still an out of this world suggestion and concern. There ARE others out there who agree with me.
In our community, if something disadvantages one user or bothers them, they usually speak up and make a thread or post on one that was already made.This thread is still new, but if others are as upset as you are, they would have posted by now. :/ I'm sure there are other people upset by the change, but not enough to want it changed back. If it was really bad, I'm sure there would be a protest right now. Protesting and whining in-game or on Vent doesn't get Andrew's attention nearly as much. Users would have posted by now if they really wanted it changed back...
We are simply speaking for those who are incapable of typing on the forums and getting noticed unless the presidents topics. (I admit to being compelled to read president and mod topics much more then builders..)
Andrew has specifically stated that the lottery isn't going to change from where it currently is multiple times.
Thus being said I have officialy quit... for a month or two and transferred my town (not really the town ownership transfer) to rezonl
I really like the tax, its a good way to reduce inflation some and motivate people not to try sniping and make the none millionaires to play again. I don't mind someone sniping if they are losing more then they got for doing it.
