This is the official information thread for my town Redrock, of which I am the Mayor. Redrock facts: The Redrock border starts at x=320, z=-115, so close to spawn that part of the town is in spawn's local channel Because of the proximity of neighboring towns, Redrock is 200x115 The neighboring towns are amazing, they are Wildehaven and Tommy T's towns. Benefits of Redrock: I've been told many times that Redrock looks nice. REALLY nice. Redrock features a large underground pumpkin farm, which is available for use by all members of the town. Is it VERY close to spawn, you can walk to Redrock from spawn in about one minute, and fly there in seconds. I am allowing basements of up to 10 levels deep! Some towns do not allow basements at all. There is an active spawn to town portal for Redrock, it is on the towns6 level. I am known as a good player who gets along well with the community. I will try my best to also be a good mayor. Coming Soon: Prices for plots are still to be determined. There are various sizes of plots. Currently there are only a few parcels that are fully mapped out and ready, but I am planning to add more as I further develop the town. In this thread I will post more pictures of Redrock. You can see a small picture of the main gate in my "signature". There will be a shopping mall soon, where I plan to allow members to post a few trade signs if they wish to. There will be a large and (hopefully) beautiful cathedral toward the back end of Redrock. Now that the Labyrinth races are done, Redrock construction has picked up pace again, and soon I will be opening the town for highly selective applications. For now, I have invited a FEW members by invitation only. They'll be more info about the town as it gets closer to the full grand opening, but for now here are the rules, just to make sure everything is nice and clear. These rules are long but only because I want to be really sure everything is fair for both me and my town members Town rules for residents, all normal ECC rules about towns apply unless they are contradicted by what is said here, in which case the rules in this thread take precedence. You must agree to these rules to be a member of Redrock. There is to be absolutely no griefing. Unless I give you specific permission to help out elsewhere in town, the only place you may make any kind of changes are within your own personal plot, which is found INSIDE the stone slab sidewalks. Unless I give special permission, you may build at most ten levels down into the ground (to y=56), and at most 20 levels up into the air (to y=86). If you build or destroy blocks elsewhere without my permission, I may be filing a complaint and you will be instantly banished from Redrock with no refund if the mods decide that you did in fact grief. You may only have personal farms in your basement, not above ground. There is also a large multi-level pumpkin farm beneath the town that features an ultra-dense design. I have sole actual ownership of the plots. You are only leasing them, for a one-time fee paid up front at which time I grant you build rights to the town. What that means is that if you decide to leave the town, the plot reverts back to me. You may NOT sell or transfer your plot to another player (unless I give special permission). If I do give special permission you must pay me a transfer tax of 15% of the price you sold the plot for. Only with my special permission, members may have friends live in their house for free. Those friends will not have build rights, but are allowed to make locked chests and furnaces. If you want to share a plot with another player and they also need build rights, they will have to pay a fee, which we can discuss. If you decide to leave of your own free will that is your choice but there will be no refunds. I may make reasonable additions and revisions to these rules as time passes. I will verify that the current members agree in this thread to the full rules as stated here. If they do not agree I will kindly ask them to disassemble their residences and leave the town. annyonion origamimaster10 Dark_Tonitrus please reply that you agree with these rules.
On weekdays, I am in game only in the evening (Eastern US time). I will try to send you a message. Thanks for your interest!
Yeah good point, I will change that to ALWAYS giving a full refund if I decide it's not working out for some reason. I just don't want to feel like I could be shackled to a player who doesn't break the rules but is nevertheless a problem in some way. I'll also only remove people promoted to Mayor if it seems like they never visit or use their plot anymore, and I will give them a full refund. Thanks Jason.
Actually I changed my mind. I am completely removing those rules currently at Rule 5 and Rule 8, because they are significantly more generous than the standard ECC Wiki guidelines. By offering full refunds, I am unnecessarily opening myself up to all sorts of scenarios in which I have to pay people to leave, even if I have good reasons. It's just too much. I'm removing the special language and I'm going to abide by the letter and spirit of the law as written on the ECC Wiki. It's what everybody else does.
Well organized and well written. I agree to the terms and condition. This town is already so beautiful and I can't even imagine how even more amazing it will turn out once you complete it.
In the rules I had disallowed it, but if I feel comfortable with the person you are selling to, I will allow it. If I do allow it, however, you must give me 15% of the sell price as a transfer tax. I think that's fair, especially since other mayors on ECC have the same policy. Please PM me in game (or PM me on the forums) so we can talk about it. Thanks Origami.
Most people don't sell 10x10's for over 1k. Unless they have a very nice town. So if your just looking for a starting plot, and not a grand fancy place, don't go over 1k for a 10x10.
