"Are you the mayor or co-mayor?" This makes it..confusing. I was even under the assumption for the longest time that you had to be the Mayor or co-Mayor of a town to get any locks removed. Couldn't this be rephrased to something like, "What is your rank in the town? (Mayor, co-Mayor, Resident)"
No, you have to be the owner or co-owner of the town to have it removed. Nothing has changed except we require to see the original town application.
i cant seem to wrap my brain around this. you can ask for them to be removed, but but only the owner of the locks can remove them? or only the owner of the town? bah!
Okay, I will try to explain this better. The mayor or co-mayor of the town, whoever that is currently, CAN request a lock removal for the town. The only reason the original town app is required is because you CANNOT no matter if you are the current town owner or not, remove the ORIGINAL owner's locks. This application lets us easily see who the original owner is.
Oh, I see now. My brain was being stupid and not processing "original owner" and "owner" correctly, then got thrown goof reading co-Mayor. Sorry.
So again, what happens if the original owner is perma banned or hasn't been on in 3 months and said he/she quit ECC and you own the town now, can you not have the locks removed in that case?

We will not be removing, as of right now, any original owner's locks. If a possibly special case came up it would be discussed thoroughly.
Do you have to post your town app if you are not removing an owners locks? Example: A builder who has been offline for 1 month.

Revan, can we have a reason why this feature was added please? Also. What if the original owner is permanently banned and will never be back on ECC?
This has always been a rule amongst staff when it comes to LWC policy, but it's been hard to enforce because we weren't required to look up who the original owner was. Now we have a way to do it and thus it is easier to enforce.
