HELLO ECC!!! I have had a idea. I was thinking of an plan. There have been, always have been, and always will be a large number of players wanting to rank up and not having the cash. We've all been in this situation, and didn't it suck? And so I have created the RUF. No its not a pvp thing. It stands for Rank Up Fund. It is an absolutly non-profit organization. You can guess what it is in place for. Mail Linkfan456 to make your pledge. Thank you. Please help.
EDIT: Felt I needed to elaborate. The situation you are referring to is the very point of ECC. You are begging for money. Call it charity, call it donations, in essence it is begging. You are asking those who have worked hard to earn their money to donate to you and your "charity" to help those either too lazy to earn the money to rank up themselves, in return for nothing. If you want to be mayor, or resident or even president, you need to earn it. Begging for money is not what ECC, a hardcore economy server is about. If you need ideas on how to make money, the tutorial section, doing "/help money" in game, or looking at the in game tutorial will give you plenty of ideas.
Ya I won't donate because to rank up, you are supposed to actually work for the money, not beg in a new and creative way

The word fund implies that you yourself have put money in which you clearly have not. Have some dignity and do it yourself
I have put in some money myself. I do not have much money, but i put 25% of what I earn into the fund.
linkfan456 your idea is one many have had, but it's not a great idea. Many don't donate out of the idea of a "hardcore economy server" in the means of "earn your own money." Some don't have the money to donate. And most don't have time to read this thread.
As revan once suggested if someone begs to you tell them ways to make money or direct them towards /help money
I never have and never will beg for money/ask for donations. I feel like it's cheating. I take a lot of pride in earning what I get/achieve. Recieving others' "charity" would take away from the moment of finally achieving mayor/president/etc.
I mean, I ask for donations (or at least I used to). All I do now is set a sign for Donations (in case someone feels generous). Its not a required thing for me anymore. Yeah, the extra $100 is cool. But I don't require it.
But when you've told everyone that you'd have Mayor before February 28th, you kinda get depressed, and desperate...
