I am seeing more and more ecolegends, and I think it would be great if there was a rank higher, like mythic, titan, or grand master. But have a application cost at like 30,000,000
+1 Maybe EcoHero or EcoLord for $10,000,000? We need a new rank with a crazy price so that seeing someone with it is very rare. Maybe this rank unlocks an exclusive trail or pet? An additional town would be cool but it would be awesome to see some better features included with ranks. Also, it would be cool to see this new rank giving you a different colored name on forums, to stand out from Presidents+
There's no need. There aren't many EcoLegends at all. Plus... It's pretty shifty to sell someone a rank marketed as "winning" and then saying "well no we've decided that we're going to make another arbitrary rank"

All arguments stated above make sense: there's not much point adding a new rank on top of the "winning" one but, on the other hand, this has already happened and we must acknowledge that the server population evolves and ranks might evolve with that. Maybe, before introducing new ranks (which I'm not against), we should differentiate among those already in place. I refer to the three Eco* ranks which currently just look like expensive upgrades of Tycoon rank, offering no real perk above an additional claim (which I don't mean to underrate, however it's the same identical perk for 4 consecutive upgrades)
True in general, but was this in particular an actual mistake? I don't know, I wasn't here when it happened. But I think that a "winning" rank is probably wrong from the outset in a never-ending sandbox-like game such as minecraft
Theres only 19 EcoLegends. Not that many if you think about the whole playerbase. Its just that there are a few active ones at the minute on /list -1
Oh yeah, I know. I was just pointing it out. I'd call it one. But because of ECC's situation after a few years, those few ranks keep a few people playing on the server for longer, and that's really necessary nowadays.
I feel like once you set the "winning" rank, they would stop playing on the server as there is nothing new to accomplish

Even if you did make 30mil over a long period of time, I doubt anyone would just blow it on an application, 5mil I can understand that's easy but 30mil is just insanely stupid. If anything I like the GrandLegend/GrandMaster name but I feel it relates to much to EcoMaster/EcoLegend. -1 in my opinion the ranks should stay the same makes no sense to do this after a final rank then issuing another final rank. [$$$EcoLegend$$$] is cool I like the colors and such but these $signs$ annoy the hell out of me.
assuming you melonfarm, it would take 1550 hours or so. You can do it in a year if you work for 5-6 hours a day. 3-4 hours a day for 2 years, 1-2 for 3 years, etc. But yeah, it's silly. I've never heard of anyone even having that much money. There is no point. It's more fun to play lotto or sportsbook than it is to grind for a rank that does nothing.
that's simply not true, though, and I don't like the precedent it sets. Does that mean when somebody gets this new rank we need to add another virtually unobtainable rank just so a few people have another thing to do?
+/- 1 Just give it time. I don't think an additional rank would be needed at the moment. However, just as the server has expanded and upgraded throughout the years, so will other aspects including ranks. I think 30 million is overkill as well. I am sure the right price will be given when everything falls into place.
I have been an ecolegend for a while now and do not feel that I should have to stop playing. As for new things to accomplish, I offer that there is giving back to the community, helping other players, and working on projects with friends.

You are very right IMO. I have always said this, anything to me, past mayor is just a waste of ECC. I can buy towns or town claims and do anything I want with them for much cheaper. People have spent literally millions of ECC on ranks that do nothing for them. Why not just put that money to tools?
