Suggestion: My suggestion is simple, a small alteration in the way SG picks a Kit free game. Please correct me if i am wrong but to my knowledge it currently has a 1 in 4 chance of being a kit free game and picks this at random. Whilst this is good i think i have a suggestion that may improve it!

I suggest a solution whereby the kit free game runs on a cycle, 1 in 4 would be perfect. This work as follows. Every 4 games the 4th one is always kit free.

This is the most balanced aproach i could think of. As i understand people including myself have payed for kits and its unfair to make the usless as such. I myself enjoy putting on my kit and playing but it is fun to play good old vanilla SG.

Reason: I think this would be much better as atleast you have that reassurance that in 3 games time you dont have to worry about kits. Its just an idea but might be a better way to do it?

I would appreciate any and all feedback, positive and negative to this idea. Im not sure how realistic or Achievable as im not sure how hard it would be to impliment.

    Thanks

    *Corrects* 1 in 4. :p

My problem with the suggestion is that kitters would just try to avoid every fourth game, thus making no-kit games very small with only very few players.

I see where your coming from, There are however a large number of players to my knowledge that enjoy kit free games, myself included.

Half the kit players leave at the start of kit free games. kit free players would just avoid kit games and kit players will avoid kit free games. As the percentage of kit free games is the same all this would result in is even less people playing sg.
    Therefore, it's a -1 from me

Hm.. I love the idea, and this really would be the perfect balance. But there's a potential problem -- if people were able to predict which games were kit free they would just skip that round and take a break or wait for the 3 kit games to end and join the kit free. That, on the other hand, would not be the perfect balance. I do agree that we need to have something a bit less than 100% random.

It is impossible to tell when the "fourth game" is, as you never online 24/7 and will never know how many games have been played. Therefore, there would be no "avoiding"

Sure, of course you wouldn't know -- at least not right off the bat. If you are an avid sg'er such as myself you will notice the patter pretty quick. Now, like I said, I am NOT against this suggestion -- I'm just suggesting that it should be tweaked somehow.

    K. When did I ever say you were against it? Take time to breathe before you post.

Lets not blow things out of proportion here -- I was simply insuring that people knew I was not 'hating' on this suggestion. I think it is a great idea that could potentially solve a few problems with sg. Anyway, instead of making the last game of four a no kit, how about grouping games into four and randomly picking one of those four. For example, if the second of the four games is chosen as nokit, then the next two will be kit. If there has been no nokit randomly selected by the fourth game, that game is automatically a nokit.

Just an idea, though. I love the idea of balanced gameplay, but I would still prefer a bit of randomness.
