Minecraft Username: Jdawger Brief Description: I went afk to go to Walmart, and @Restiv sent me a pm during that time. I did /r when I got back and saw he messaged me (With the prompt "Now chatting with Restiv"). However, when I went to send a message, it said "Player Not Found." I did /r again and sure enough, it said "Now chatting with Restiv," however when I messaged, it said "Player Not found" Edit: In looking at my screenshots, Restiv was in MN at the time. Unsure if he was in /v or not. Instructions: 1.) Go afk for a bit (and do not leave a /ch afk) 2.) Have someone message you 3.) This step is where I need @Restiv 's help. I'm not sure if he went in /v, changed servers and logged, or just simply logged. I tested a potential setup with my alt @FalloutEquestria for cross-server messaging and logging off, but couldn't reproduce. Can't test this when he is in /v since he doesn't have the feature. 4.) Use /r and get the "Now chatting with [player]" in chat 5.) Send a message How many times did you recreate this?: With the original message to Restiv, at least 5x Result: Get the "Now chatting with [player]" in chat, but can't send message because of a "Player Not Found" Expected Result: Unsure tbh with this new cross-server /seen and messaging system. I think I should be able to message the player if I get the "Now chatting with [player]" Evidence:
As far as I am aware this is the same issue/similar to this one; https://ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/pm-in-vanish.202190/ As well as i know someone mentioned cross server pm's having some issues, not sure if it has since been worked on or not
If you get some exact reproduction steps @Jdawger please let us know. It is the only way we would be able to diagnose this.
Actually, I checked Pab's link. I believe I did have that same issue. I wasn't aware Restiv was on another server as he tends to be on main more often than not. I would say based off that thread that it is fixed
