What will happen if one appeals with words in the reason why he must be unbanned being sound defensive?
Then they sound defensive... its literally a case to case issue. You can sound however tf you want, its your appeal. I guess just to answer the question you are asking, most of the time it gets denied simply because if they're being defensive, chances are they aren't really remorseful for what they did and think they have been wrongfully banned. Again though as Oreo said, its a case by case issue. Was a rather odd question.... but hope that helps
It may be you were not 100% at fault, but the ban appeal isn't the place to be arguing that point. As THCOOL said, the ban appeal is for you to explain why you are sorry for what you did. If you are defensive, then you may be trying to explain why you did what you did, not that you are sorry for it. You were banned for a reason, and if you are to return, you need to understand why what you did was wrong. If you don't think what you did was wrong, then perhaps you aren't ready to return. If you think you were banned inappropriately perhaps it may be better to plead your case via a forum pm to the staff before completing your ban appeal. If you have a complaint, there are other means to address it. The ban appeal is a place to recognize your mistake and apologize for it. Nothing else.
This is typically the case (I think always the case for chat related offenses), but not all the time. There HAVE been cases where a user has been wrongly banned - a few times I've seen users wrongly banned for hacking or some other offense like that. If you actually did nothing wrong, why should you have to apologize for it? Ban appeals are a place to appeal your ban, and is not always a place to apologize for your actions. Like I said, that is almost always the case, but there are some random occasions where a user is wrongly banned
