I have a brother that wants to buy his own minecraft account after watching me play on this server, so we were looking through the rules to see if it was permitted it says "Multiple accounts are not tolerated on this server. If you are caught using two or more Minecraft accounts to benefit you, all accounts will be banned and you will lose the ability to play on the EcoCityCraft server permanently. " Does that mean one person can't have two accounts or does that mean the you can only have one account per internet connection. Also if it is permitted to have two accounts playing on one internet connection does that mean my brother and I wouldn't be able to work together for example do jobs to save up to buy land to farm together? On a related note is it ok to share an account in the case that each internet connection is only permitted to have one minecraft account on this server?
You can have more than one account per internet connection, but you cannot have more than one account to benefit you. Your brother can play here on EcoCityCraft.
Skylexia Sky, I read and had a million questions like this. Can't you make an addition to the rule in the ECC wiki which states that you can have multiple accounts per internet connectionas long as it are different persons using the accounts. Such as: Multiple accounts are not tolerated on this server. If you are caught using two or more Minecraft accounts to benefit you, all accounts will be banned and you will lose the ability to play on the EcoCityCraft server permanently. However multiple accounts on one internet connection (read IP address) are allowed as long as the accounts are used by different persons and not used for beneficial purposes.
blackbelt4eva, please post your brother's account name so that we can record your accounts as being shared ip.
Didn't bother buying an account. He is rather busy with school. If he ever does should i contact you?
If he ever gets his own account and plays minecraft on ecocitycraft, please pm any moderator on the forums, or in-game with the names so we can mark it down.
If you are going to have a family member/friend play on the same ip as you, it is always best to notify a staff member, they will find a way to make sure you can both safely play without the risk of getting banned for multi accounting, However, in the case that you do get banned, just appeal, im sure they would understand, either way, inform the staff team. Personal experience: I have 2 younger brothers, and both watched me play on ecc, after a while they wanted a minecraft account of their own, and me being the great brother i am, bought them each their own account. I notified one of the staff members on the server, and now they can both safely play without the risk of getting banned. (for multi-accounting of course, i cannot shield them from anything else)
