Hi there I have searched the wiki and forums and asked in game, is there a way to edit the price of a chest shop without breaking the sign ?
Unfortunately not. Chestshop does not allow the editing of signs after the shop is created. You need to remake the sign.
I've been able to do this by right clicking with a sign in my hand. I can change prices, quantities and even change items by editing the last line. Edit to add: be sure it’s the same type of wood sign. It sometimes doesn’t work if you try to edit one with another.
I stand corrected! It appears you can indeed edit a Chestshop sign, but you must first right-click your shop sign while holding a sign! You can edit: Quanity (changing the transaction amount) The buy/sell price The item in the chest You cannot edit the username on the chest (Top line). Once you finish your edits it simply makes a "new" shop with your new credentials. The Chestshops wiki page has been updated to include this information! Thanks @creepcreepcreep
