I didn't get an official/technical answer in the main thread, so I'll ask again here: Are inactive beacons ok, or do they cause lag? I intend to use them as a plain light source block, but with no beam. Could I use them massively? What about armor stands? Could I use a massive amount of them for decoration? When I say "massive" or "massively" I mean something like "more than 50 but probably less than 500". That's the rough order-of-magnitude.
Re: Worldedit lighting glitches So, I have an issue with the main "floor." My build is centered around an open space, and the floor of the open space has this problem. Here is a portion of it in daytime: Note the sea lanterns embedded in the floor under the glass. More than enough to light the entire area at night. Now here is the exact same area at night: Note that the sea lanterns are not spreading light at all outside the stairs near them. Also note the area at the far right, which is not affected and is thoroughly lit by fewer light sources than the affected area. I have experimented with embedding sea lanterns directly into the floor (rather than one layer down), but the only effect is that they light up, and the remainder of the floor around them stays dark. The effect disappears during the day. It can be corrected by editing any block within the chunk, more or less, but every time I relog, it reappears. From some research, it seems like this is a glitch caused either my vanilla MC or Worldedit, where I have at some point WE'd something above the affected blocks, and the chunks aren't relighting... or something like that. My question is this: can you solve this within the server, with tools at your disposal, or do you know how I can fix it? I have attempted most of the remedies suggested online, except those that involve MCEdit, because I can't seem to figure out how to work MCEdit, and I'm afraid I'll accidentally delete the entire build. Help? EDIT: A screenshot with a wider shot of the entire area is being forum pm'd separately.
Can SG be under spawn and have a portal at spawn linking to the area the sg is at? I just dont think Sg should be a prioritised in the spawn area and I personally think it just looks out of place being at spawn. @JamieSinn *Edit* Also is tutorial no longer a portal? If not, should this be made into a portal or does it not matter as it will have a /warp to it and all new players are automatically spawned there? Or should I have stairs/lift signs down to the tutorial area?
Wait have u actually fully banned Armour standa , through console or just said we cant use them. What are the consequences on using them @JamiaSinn

Portal size doesn't matter when connecting two One portal can be the destination of multiple portals (that's how town exclusive portals work)
