PvP in Mining world

I agree, mining world PVP sucks.

 

I strongly disagree, the mining world had many reasons to make it the way it is, it is very easy not to be killed, just mine low down and be careful, don't go charging in, and keep low, it is very easy to stay alive if you follow these rules.

 

I strongly disagree with you Zwunder. the mining world is amazing the way it is, but with PVP enabled, it's hard to stay low when you have 5 people camping spawn with full enchanted diamond armour, the mining world would be allot more enjoyable with out these PVP qualities.

 

i just wanted to say that i like mining world as pvp somewhere i can go without ppl flying around to pvp and if you want 2 keep your items and not die go to the builder gates where it isn't pvp other wise don't complain about pvp in mining world pvp is one of the reasons i came 2 this server and frankly i don't think pvp in mining world would be removed

 

Mining world needs to be pvp. It makes mining and gaining exp more dangerous. If it didn't have pvp it would just be a resident+ version of the wild. Like epislen said, if you don't want to get killed mine in the mainworld.

I'm in the mining world 50% of the time, I NEVER got killed by someone else before, I've mined for hours and hours and I never even come across another person.
And yes, it sucks to die, but if you don't want to die then you should mine in the main world.

 

one more thing to add people have tried 2 get pvp out of mining world for a long time its just like fly in pvp it will never go away sadly but i like pvp in mining world

 

Most pvp that happens in the mining world is around the spawn. Get past the spawn and go out towards the edges of the map and you will find less people and be able to mine. The only times I really have pvped in the mining world have been right out side of spawn.

 

I have not read many replies to this thread, so I apologize in advance if I say something said a million times already, but:

There are many good reasons to have PvP in the mining world. I could sit here all day and list them to you, but I won't take the time to do so. Go digging through old threads on this matter, there are some well written replies back there.

In the end, there are some side effects - people use it as a configurable arena at their disposal, but this is mostly straight in front of the portal. (or the easiest to modify area from the portal.) An easy way to avoid these PvP'ers - go a different way. That trek 100 blocks from spawn will pretty much guarantee you safety. It's very rare to find somebody who wants to kill you once you get past that point.

Trust me, I have many times been in the mining world with the purpose of mining and not found anyone. If you know what you are doing, it's not hard to avoid people until you get to a safe area to relax and start mining. Actually finding someone once your underground almost never happens and you should have nothing to worry about.

 

I think pvp should be disabled in the mining world simply because its a mining world not pvp world and i find it irritating when i a i am trying to min and some one that i cant see comes behind me and kills me. i think we should have a separate smaller pvp world.

 

I think PvP should stay enabled for a couple main reasons.
First, many players go there to fight their PvP battles without the complications and annoying things in the mainworld PvP arena, such as people running in with no armor and stealing stuff, flying attackers, etc. Also, mining is supposed to be a dangerous experience, not a safe one. In real minecraft (vanilla and hard setting) there are mobs at every turn. Creeper explosions, lava, and enderman, it's all in the fun of mining. And lastly, disabling PvP would decrease mining prices and exp prices a lot. If players didn't have to worry about being killed, they would mine more. If people's spawners are not being destroyed they would get more exp. So, for the good of all of ECC, leave it. Just stop trying to change the beautiful things about it
