List of must nots: Upload to EcoCityCraft.com/wiki Link to any other site other than EcoCityCraft.com or authorised websites (such as Voting sites) Link or display images not uploaded to EcoCityCraft sever No multimedia content allowed at all Cannot start, continue or retaliate in any disruptive behaviour. If you have complaints use the complaints forum Any rule breaking will revoke the permissions and may include banishment from the game if warranted. Preparation of such things will require the current pages that are on the whitelist needing a "protection status". This is wiki 101. $wgGroupPermissions['ECCWikiPageLevel1']['CreatePage'] = False; Is wiki 201, brought title wouldn't allow players to create, "Down with iEvolive" on the wiki or "All hate on AnokFero". $wgGroupPermissions['ECCWikiPageLevel1']['CreateTalk'] = True; Allows for me to create: User:AnokFero - and if I recall correctly, would also allow me to create User:AnokFero/SubPageName. Change it to false and you can create a bigger money sink. 25000: Purchase the ability (one page free) 2000: Purchase second page 2000: Purchase third page 4000: Purchase fourth page 4000: Purchase sixth page 6000: 7th 6000: 9th 8000: 10th And so on ever three levels double the price. A mod would have to create the pages, and would have to work out a way to take funds from players.
Could actually work, but I don't really see it happening, our wiki isn't a "wiki", but more of an infobase.
Exactly. I would like to offer people "Diamond Sets" I don't always want to spam chat of what a diamond set is, so details can be found on the wiki. I don't want it on the forums cos I don't want to read peoples comments as I don't care for it. A Diamond Set, could include full Iron Armour, Full Diamond Tools, and one free repair at any time. An Iron set could include all iron armor/tools and no repair etc. Wiki allows for more "presentation" of the information, where as board is... well bland if you want to try and entice traders.
As posted above, media wiki has quite a few layers or protection, so its perfectly fine to have all the core ECC pages protected to be wiki team editable, while allowing free access to the rest. In general though it just means more mod work to censor and control the content in the user pages. Seems to me that this sort of content is better placed in a town forum, or if it applies server wide, by requesting some info gets added to the actual real wiki via the wiki team.
