I can confirm what happened, the pumpkin was there and French could not pass it, even though he destroyed it from his client.
This has happened to me before too. If you log out they will reappear, or you can right mouse click the block of dirt below the pumpkin and it will reappear as well. I get this sometimes when I am using speed and it lags.
What tool were you using? (I can't load the video for some reason) If it wasn't an axe, try it with an axe.
This appears to be because of lag, does this also happen when there is a little amount of players on? Also, you are a clumsy farmer. :\ I suggest you stand ontop of the pumpkins and fly backwards and break the pumpkins while flying backwards.
