Hello, I am wanting to get more familiar with a programming language that I am learning, I was wondering if there is anything that is ECC-related or non ECC-related that I could program. Looking for ideas from you guys. @314: I believe you code using Delphi? Any ideas for programs lol I'd rather do something for ECC's sake EDIT: Lets make this thread a discussion about any programming language/ programming in general!
Great to know that we have a programming-interested person here. Which one? What do you mean with programs?
It's called LiveCode (Founded in Scotland) For example, application that I could write for ECC users or whatever. I'd rather get things from others that will challenge me a bit more, rather than making things that benefit myself
Ah. I think you even told me about it before. I made an .exe-file before and called it LottOP. (Yes, I know...naming programs is not one of my strengths. ) It calculated many nice statistics, for example the amount of tax taken out with a certain pot and, as the main part, to calculate how many tickets one could snipe to still make a profit (Or at least not loose $) when winning. Just be creative. EDIT: Idea...what about a program that calculates the worth of your mining results by entering ore amounts, using manually listed average data about fortune from the minecraft wiki and /sell value from the server?
Unfortunately not...but I posted a few screenshots of it somewhere on the forum. It was a thread about lotto statistics. EDIT: Also, don't forget to look at the edit above.
@314: I have begun creating a program that I am calling "town tools", I'll try and get everything ready, and show you a Beta version if you wish
I know some basic java/programming concepts, such as if/else, for loops, while loops, classes and methods. I also know how to use the Scanner, Math, NumberFormat and TextFormat classes, along with some other methods that I've made for class. Here's my next assignment (2 weekend days and 2 school days to complete) if you want to gauge what level I'm at. It's basic for classes + methods because it's a new topic to the rest of the class.
