I would appreciate if you could help me out with this potion research. If not too much trouble, could you please let me also let me know in a reply how many potions of each kind you use in a month and what you feel is a fair price for each? Legitimate responses in a post can expect some generous bonus items from me
I haven't used potions outside of SG in months. I'd think that speed would be popular for farming, and fire res would be popular for the nether/mining if the user didn't have pyro+. I think many users have their gamma set to a number where they don't need nv. Strength and healing are used for pvp, which isn't very popular at the moment. Water breathing could be useful for people trying to mine a water temple (I forget what they're called) who don't have water+ or sponges/armor. My top 2 are speed and fire res.
Thank you for this great information - explained so that even a nub like me can understand - you seem to know me well Thank you for helping me out with this!
I have only used fire res on ecc. For nether, fighting blazes, but that's it. I use maybe a couple a month if that
I rarely use potions as well, but if anything, the most common ones I have used are speed potions (for farming) and strength potions (for PvP). I go into the Nether every now and then, but even then, I don't bring fire resistance potions, as Prot IV armor usually does just fine. Many other potions, such as leaping, water breathing, regeneration, and fire res, require expensive components to brew; however, speed and strength just need sugar (which can be crafted from sugarcane) and blaze powder (if you find a blaze spawner in the nether, you're golden). I voted for Speed and Strength.
Potions I use - basically none... no PvP, many features. (Maybe leaping as they are fun to use.) What I either own or want though - mcMMO potions. (NOT fire) resistance, wither (Got one), and so on. Also, I want 1.9 to create brewable levitation potions... the status effect is so awesome. ;-;
