I'm sort of a new town owner. I own the town agritopia and I was wondering how could I make more money off of it. It is a 100x100 (I bought it for I think 28k) and I don't know what else I can do with it. Also I'm getting mayor soon and will make a 200x200 town. It would be amazing to have some ideas and pointers on where to put my town, how to set it up, etc. Screenshots of other towns and examples would be welcomed! This is not just for my benefit... it is for others too!
I always feel that the main things a town need is a portal, a well stocked town shop, and an area with the town rules written down. Optional, yet good things to have, are town farms, spleef arenas, pvp arenas, etc.
For you to make money I think you need to have a farm because builders who need to make money will be more attracted to ur town also I think a portal is quite essential and if you set up a public brewing area or public poking pot that would also be benificial! Hope this helped
If we were to look at the most successful towns on ECC (first to come to my head would be MineYork, America, Caprica/any of Outerlocal's towns), you'd notice many of them have a strong emphasis on design and decoration. Outerlocal has told me that he makes most of his money just by selling his prebuilts for like 100k each. While it is true that players are attracted to farms, it's fairly obvious that there are several farm towns to choose from so one would have to deal with plenty of competition while there are only a few towns with the characteristics of those which I mentioned above. As well, one can sell their prebuilts to wealthy players and gain prominence in the "upper-class" ECC community, which is an extremely valuable asset to have.
