Portal gates

Oh, all of the directional portals are gone, that's probably just to get people to buy spawn portals.

 

I hate to sound rude, but could you expain more what your talking about. The town portals and wild portals are still there. :?

Because the portals were only used as a free subsititute of town portals. Builders had no purpose there so the portals got deleted.Its not like the towns don't exist, they just don't get free portals.

 

I would never have built my town on the water if it wasn't for the fact it gets a free portal, so now they are removed i have no money so town is becoming abandoned and i don't even like where town is so i am gonna make private no one can buy plots i don't have tp so that was a waste now i need 30k for world edit and about 30 players are losing there homes because of the portals being removed.
Also the portals have other uses i always use the portal to go mining because no one has dug there whereas i refuse to go through build gates because there are just death holes dug around them and there is no point mining they have been mined out.
I understand this is done to get more money out economy but most the mayor with towns next to the portals are to poor to get portal not saving money from it at the same time people are rich enough to buy 500 lotto tickets so more needs to be done on taking from rich rather than poor in my opinion.

I say that the towns near the directional portal gates should be forced to pay the spawn-town portal price. I was in the process of setting up a town near one of the gates and I would be happy to pay the extra price for a little more foot traffic near my town. The property near the portals was more valuable, just like property ranges in value in real life. I wasn't looking for a free portal, I was looking for more visitors.
Should the towns around spawn like Wallstreet & Berlin be punished for setting up their towns in a great location? Should we wall off spawn? No, I don't think so.

 

If there are 3-4 towns all clustered near where the gates were at, why don't they just pull their money together and have one of the towns apply for a portal at the corner closest to where the gate was at.

I personally am fine with the removal. I always found it a bit unfair in regards to these portals. Why should you both get a free portal, and have it conveniently placed right down in the middle of spawn where everyone is walking around. Everyone else has to both pay for a portal and it is randomly placed in the portal room next to all the rest which makes it somewhat difficult to find the right portal, and way more inconvenient than if it was down at spawn.
