hey guys! I am poor, as most of you know, and I am here to make an organization to help people in need! You can donate your money that you donate to me and I will give the money to people in need! Please donate, help a person. For each donation you get an iron ingot! I am the owner. Looking for a co-owner! Thanks for reading, I hope you donate ~Rein, founder and owner of the PPO
I prefer to donate funds directly to those in need, not sure why I would need a middleman since it is usually pretty easy to find those in need (unless you have some secret stash of needy players). You are welcome to send these players my way as I usually have jobs of some kind available if they are willing to work a little for the money. It is a "hardcore" economy server for a reason.
The purpose of this program was to put this money in one spot and then distribute it evenly among a group of new players I have/will invited here.
I have to agree with AdmiralD, it is a hardcore economy. All the good people here didn't ask for money, including me.(Though people have donated 3k to me for whatever reason)
Actually, I hear this all the time and grow weary of it. We all started out the exact same way - a kit and a big $0. I have spent countless hours mining, farming, working my way to earn what I have. I have never asked for a donation - although some of my co-mayors have given me money for perms they sold sometimes in order to improve a town or to help out others. Poor people stay poor on this server if they don't at least some effort working for it. It is why I usually help by buying many items at above server price - it is a way I can help, but not create another needy player. In addition, you will rarely see me play lotto which just like in real life is a tax on the poor to help keep the server running. Instead, I buy donation features which does help me earn more money and increased my playing enjoyment. I hope this clears up the statement you made from another perspective and wish you the best of success in whatever you choose to do.
Or, in the case of older players like myself, no kit To be fair though you could get to trees by walking ~300 blocks from spawn, so yeah. There was also no mining world, no melon swords, experience was expensive, eff 4 tools were expensive, eff 5 tools were worth >100k I hate when people complain "I can only make 8k an hour!" It's not that hard, I mean damn. Perfect example, idkhowtoplay just got back over a month ago from inactivity with nothing. He went from nothing to EcoLegend, with a few donations mind you, but he still did it. The rich people are rich because they worked to get rich, and for those who aren't willing to work, feel free to complain that you're poor, you're literally just telling everyone that you're lazy.
The point of the economy is, like admiral said, to make money through hard work and determination, not begging. I am more than glad to give you money making tips and give you guidance on maximum income, but keep in mind this is an economy server and there are thousands of players out there, it's hard to give everyone money, correct? This is why it is the player's job to make their own money, and if you do not want to work then you cannot be prosperous on this server. Good luck in your endeavors!
Giving people money is pointless. You make them reliant on handouts rather than learning to earn their own money and thrive. "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime." Maimonides
Proverbs 22:7 The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is the slave of the lender. Learn to earn and keep your money - spend it wisely and you find much success here on ECC.
I disagree. Giving people money actually can help them succeed. For example, you can give builders money to buy diamond tools and armor. That'll help them succeed. It's not like you're giving them everything and making them lazy. In a hardcore economy server, like ECC, you'll have to learn how to make money nonetheless. I'm not saying we should give every builder who PM's you 15k. I'm just saying that with a little help, guidance and maybe some tools or money, you'll help players succeed and hopefully stay on ECC longer.
just give them dam diamond tools, cut out the buying part. They could easily waste the money on lotto :3
