It seems to me that the polls are an inappropriate thing to put on a staff app, even if it's allowed. It would appear that it just becomes a popularity contest, which is completely not how staff is/should be chosen. I don't know how much the polls/comments play into the decision (I don't think much), but they just seem a bit... inappropriate. I don't exactly know how to say it. What do you think?
You don't have to include a poll. If you do, there are strict rules to follow. Honestly, when I pick staff members, I don't factor in what other people think. I only read the comments for the purpose of moderation. I won't choose someone just because they have more "+1's" than another person. It's the same with polls. I just like to see what other people think. You could have 100% "no's" and still become a staff member.
Personally I don't mind them, though they seem a bit pointless to me. Everyone always posts their little comment saying +1 anyway so...
