so i noticed while having fun with the latest update, what would the price of emaralds be? the only way i can see that you could get them is in the mining world, which is res+ only. they are 16 times as rare as diamonds and the average price (estimated) is about $90. so 16x90=1440, which will probably be the spawn store price. granted the real sell hand would be about 500 to 1k. the server should put forth their suggestions on this topic. let the the first wave begin...
first we need to see if he is going to even allow them to spawn in the mining world or sell them and the fact is thy are only worth a few eco dollors think if i can get a villager 11 for a iron chest plate with a enchantment do you think we should sell the for 1000s
idk on this. i noticed a few new things that will be added like tripwires and that now string can be placed on the ground. you are right on the villager trading though. i traded 3 emaralds for a sharpness 2 iron sword. i think it would be cool too if andrew added a place for villager trading where there are two of each type in a market area. just a thought though. back on topic, i think emaralds will most likely spawn in the mining world since there will NEVER be a main world map reset. how else will we get emaralds? and the /sell hand could be viable since many will not have a use for emaralds. unless you can find some villagers...
i dont know if andrew can but add one of each villager in a cage at the spawn and make them unkillable and they can be found in the main world he can delete bios with world edit and and in a extreme hill bio which is were they are found
You can't decide the price until there has been proper research, from what I understand you can give a villager an item and they give emeralds in return, based on that I say $100 is way too high. Right now I think we should give them no price at all and let people trade with villagers, and then we will see how rare these emeralds actually are. Edit: done some research. From what I can see here it is more common than gold but it only generates in the extreme hills (edge) biomes. I understand that emeralds are really rare in temples. The main thing is the trading. The trading chart: Spoiler In this chart you can see that the prices are inconsistent and do not fit in our economy. conclusion: emeralds do not fit in our economy and should not be able to be sold to the server with /sell
They are pretty useless though without villagers time for andrewkm to make some money with extcommands being able to spawn villagers and mobs and Emerlands are a highly produce ore which can almost be found any where they are common in sand villages thats if you dont arm the trap. Emarlands dont deserve to be sold by hand, they are a outstanding stash of ore they come in 5-12, + We dont have any villages in the real world because Monkey Butt destroyed them all I have the evidence in pictures he posted it D: Anyway they will be super easy to get and im sure just like the....Eye Chest is going to be disabled because we have more than 1 person playing this server and if we all put a chest down it = Major Lag, and we wouldnt be able to use them because we could steal what other players have in them. Like andrewkm said its a plain no its to rare and all of it.
