Welcome to the Pokemon Hunt! Join us weekly on Sundays at 7PM EST at /warp pokemonhunt to participate in a Server Sponsored Scavenger Hunt event . Spoiler: How The Event Works What is my Goal? Your goal is to explore the map and look for chest shops. These shops are part of a dispenser machine that you can use to catch pokemon books! These books can be turned in for heads and ECD at the end of the game! How do I Capture Pokemon? 1. Chest shops/dispenser machines are spread all over the map. You need to find them. The machines look like this: 2. Each chestshop will buy/sell a pokeball. You will be using this chest shop to run the machine. Make sure that the chest shop has ONE pokeball in it before using the machine. You can see if the chestshop is ready by looking here: 3. Right click the dispenser to see the pokemon available to be captured from this machine. The enchanted books are the pokemon. *Every slot of the dispenser that has dirt represents a chance that you won't catch any pokemon from the machine! 4. Right click the chestshop sign to buy the pokeball, then left click that SAME sign to sell the pokeball back. This is considered throwing the pokeball. 5. After you buy and sell the pokeball to the chest shop, the dispenser will fire. If you got an enchanted book, you caught it! If you got dirt, try again! I Got a Book! Now What? Keep going and try to find more machines with different pokemon! At the end of the event, you will place your books in a chest at the /warp area, and the Event Manager will replace those books with Heads of the Pokemon and /pay you ECD! Need a chest to place your books in? Ask an Event Manager for one at the start island at any time before or during the event! Event Prizes Each different type of pokemon book that is turned in your chest will award you with prizes! You will receive a head of the pokemon caught for you to display, as well as ECD depending on the rarity of the pokemon caught. Common Pokemon (Stage 1 of a 2/3 Evolution Chain) are worth 5K ECD each. Uncommon Pokemon (Stage 2 of a 2/3 Evolution Chain, or a normal Pokemon with no Evolution) are worth 10K ECD each. Rare Pokemon (Stage 3 of an Evolution Chain, Legendary Pokemon, Rarer Normal Pokemon with no Evolution) are worth 25K ECD each. Event Managers will also track pokemon caught in a publicly displayed Pokedex Sheet, so that players can track their progress towards earning long term Lored Items and their larger rewards. Please see the Lored Item Area for more info! Spoiler: Rules 1. No using /fly, /tpa, /j, or other commands that allow for quick travel around the map. This rule could change in the future! 2. Do not crowd around one machine. If someone is using it, wait your turn. Don't steal rewards from a machine while someone else is using it. 3. Don't give other players hints! Let all players find the machines on their own. 4. No selling, giving, or trading books, with other players. If you caught it, you keep it! Have extra books? Put them back in the dispenser for others to catch! You will only get prizes for each different type of pokemon that you catch! 5. Don't hog a machine! Let all players have a turn, as their are a limited number of pokemon available in each dispenser each week. If multiple people are at a machine, use it 3 times then let the other person try 3 times and repeat. Sharing is caring! 6. Keep all pokeballs with their respective machine. Don't buy the ball, then move on with it. This breaks the machine and slows down the game for everyone while I fix it. 7. Don't give me a reason to add anymore rules please Breaking rules intentionally or repetitively can result in being banned from the event. Spoiler: Additional Event Features Masterball! To whom it may concern, After a lot of thought and debate, it has been decided that all Pokemon counts from the first iteration of the Pokemon Hunt will be reset at the start of the Pokemon Hunt 2. We are doing this because we are removing Generation 6 and 7 Pokemon from the event and we have no desire nor plans to implement them back into the event. Additionally, we will have new Lored Items that will follow new perks and rewards, thus making all Lored Items from the original Pokemon Hunt purely cosmetic. Expect these now Legacy Lored Items to be given out to players due to their cosmetic nature, with the exception of The First Year Key, The First Year Key Pieces, and Gotta Catch Em All. This is a new version of the Pokemon Hunt, so we felt that starting with a fresh set of Lored Items for players to earn would be in the best interest for everyone. If you have any questions or concerns about these decisions, please understand that they will not be changing. Thanks <3 Lime PS: @socksforsupper, your designated area at the Floating Forest from the first version will remain, as you earned that and deserve to have recognition for it. PPS: All heads in the upstairs of the PokeMart from the first version of the Hunt will remain also.
