Minecraft Username: BGeisinger6 Brief Description: When you pm people it just doesn't send or anything. It is happening to quite a bit of people too. Instructions: Pm someone ingame, and you will see. How many times did you recreate this bug?: About 30 times or so Result: The message is not sent. Expected Result: The message is not sent. Evidence: The message is not sent.
I have had this issue happen a few times. I just close out minecraft and restart and everything works fine. It seems to be an issue with /msg commands. Havent tried any others.
I had been using the /tell command, but for some reason it will be bad, and then it will just go back to normal.
Happening to me too when using /msg. The person I'm sending the message to will receive it, however I cannot see the "To: player name" on my screen and cannot see any replies. I finally restarted my minecraft and it fixed it. Note: I have cjb chat mod but this has only happened once so i haven't bothered trying to repeat it again without chat mod installed.
Also, to add to the above, when this happened it was immediately after I had just started up minecraft and joined the server. I have never used the /chn leave command and I had to manually join every channel (auc/global/trade) in order to see all of the channels. I'm thinking this pm issue might have something to do with the recent addition of being able to leave all of the channels and it is defaulting everyone to being in NO channels when first joining (including counting PMs as a channel)
That's a good theory, but the problem is that, if I'm not mistaken, /tell and /msg are essentials, but channels are herochat. Completely different plugins. It may be related to that recent addition, but it would be something to do with reminders and other server messages being disabled, not the channels.
Revenger1 and I were chatting fine via /msg and /r last night and then his computer froze up and after he rebooted it, both /msg and /r were acting rather strangely, even after both of us restarted Minecraft. He wasn't seeing his own messages sent to me, but I was in one case and a little later, I wasn't seeing my own messages to him. Then we chatted in /ch l for awhile and later he tried to /msg me and /ch l was then weird IIRC. I do find it notable that I haven't seen "Now chatting in Local" on several occasions after someone disconnects that I had /r with.
