Ok, just got my one month award and applied for mayor today. However Im sorely lacking knowledge on PvP in ecocitycraft (or any other server). So would someone please post a PvP beginner for noobs? Ie what to bring? Best armor and weapons or bare knuckle brawl? Potions, lava buckets, fire starters, tnt?? whats allowed whats not? Will you stand a chance? Does it cost anything? I looked around PvP area briefly at the signs but made no sense. So can someone post a thread, not necessarily replying here but a new thread to tutor up.
Don't worry about PvP on Ecocitycraft. It's more dead then that 21 vine. But for other servers, I'll allow others to do tutorials, as I'm not exactly the best fighter
Well there must be some PvP action because there is always things coming up in chat with so and so won x amount of money with y number of kills...
Well survival games are basically fun hunger games, with people that have OP kits and kill you in 1 hit. You won't lose anything when you die, but don't expect to win if you haven't spent $50+ on Survival games stuff. Do /sg join to play it
You can join Survival Games through /sg join, where there are 4 maps. However, here's the deal with SG: 1. Kits Every round, there may be a 1/4 chance of having a no-kit map, however most of the time you'll get demolished by kit-ers. SG is extremely pay to win; once, I got a sharpness 1 diamond sword AND full iron armor, yet a user with kits still destroyed me in seconds. 2. A Waste of Time Even if you do pay for kits, you still make less money than mining or farming. Unless you're willing to spends literally a thousand+ dollars on kits to actually make more in an average hour than mining, I'd stay away from SG completely. 3. Popularity SG just isn't what it was like back in the day where there were 10+ players in almost every round. Today, you'd be lucky to find more than 1 5+ player match every 15 minutes, which is why making money is scarce. Usually you get stuck in a game of 2 or 3 players, where the other users play SG professionally for money (i.e. they've spent hundreds of dollars on kits). So, basically PvP is kind of ruined on ECC. But hopefully the hub will bring some new mini-games which can compensate for this misfortune.
I agree, SG is difficult during peak because of kitters. You really just have to hope for a kit free match. I personally don't SG often while the server is on peak - I prefer playing without kits doing 1v1s while there is no one on. It's actually quite fun playing with builders and the like without kits. An excellent way to make new friends.
