Minecraft Username: NinjarakuPwnz Brief Description: players that are non-town members unable to /lock chests, Instructions: with no town flags set, have a player that isn't added to the town try to /lock a chest. How many times did you recreate this?: 3 times each with a different person this past week, and others have tried and confirmed. using their own towns. this is a fairly new issue and never happened before in my experience since 2014. Result: player is told they do not have permission to lock that here. Expected Result: players typically are able to /lock things that are not yet lwc'd to anyone, if the town does not have the "non member interact deny flag" they should be able to lock and open unlocked chests Evidence: cannot submit photo's due to it only effecting commands, I've never had to add some one to the town just so they can lock things, usually only if the flag is set to prevent all interaction like normal, but i have no flags set at all. I'm not sure if this only effects builders, lack of volunteers lol, game/server admins are still able to bypass it as normal by design, so this might be rank specific, the 3 times it occurred was with builder rank players i was trying to give apartments to this past week.
I've known about this for awhile now with trying to lock things in spawn - it prevents people from locking things in a place they don't belong. I don't see the problem here though, why would you want somebody's locked item in your town if they're not a part of your town? If you have to have a public access chest, create a 1x1 plot over the chest and set the interact flag to allow for everyone and then public lock it. Or private lock it yourself and /cmodify them.

definitely will make the suggestion, this hasn't happened in towns before for me until i noticed about a week ago, thought it was a momentary issue but it happened throughout the week to 3 players. typically, this would only be prevented if the "non-member-interact-deny flat was set, but i have no flags set, so mechanically it shouldn't prevent it if the flag isn't set to do it. @Videowiz92 i give new players that join the server an apartment with everything from chests & furnaces, to decorative living room & bedroom, and this now prevents me from allowing them an apartment, unless i give them build permission, whereas when they can lock it without the permission i can provide them a place to live and put their own locks on things with LWC, and protect my town from grief, while giving new players a place they can start out, with a month offline max allowed. ease of mind to new players overwhelmed with the towns and plots.
With town control ++ you can set a plot for each apartment and only add them to that plot. You can still make a suggestion, but just wanted to let you know this bit of information. If you don’t have the feature, I do and am happy to help you out if you want me to.
I do power plotting services. 30k to make the coordinate list 10k per block of 50 plots to execute lists as provided. Obviously if I make the list I will fix any errors free of charge. Contact @xYoyoOG or @samiwarbler for references. After plots are made you just treat them like towns of their own.
they were designed to not be edited at all, prior to the town control feature this was possible to allow players to lock chests without being added to the town permission as a member. huge damper on the 36 units i built... like furnished motel rooms, you can basically lock chests and the furnace. i'd love to setup regions throughout my town but there's no way i can spend that much on town control feature, and in game income isn't so great now days either with the crop economy >.< anyone with the feature wanting to help, im sure we can work something out, i'd appreciate the help =)
