In game name : swilling236 Without a water feature, I find myself able to place multiple buckets of water within a minute's time frame. With a single bucket of water. I place the water, Take the water Move short distances, Place the water, Take the water. With following these steps five different times (Giving time in between), I managed to get the bug to recur two times. I thought I would see the bug 3 or 4 times, but still managed to get some evidence. I noticed that I get the error message way more often while trying to recreating this bug. If you notice the "Tree Feller" Cooldown in these pictures I'm placing water ~15 seconds apart after moving a short distance.
Question - did you relog to confirm that the water was actually placed server-side and not only from your point of view?
I keep one bucket of water on me while mining (where i noticed the bug) and every time i place the water, i let it update/spread a little before taking the water source back. So i was repeating the same situation here. The first picture I took was a little early so you couldn't see the water spreading more than just one block, but it updated like it normally does After Testing to see if the Second water source was there after I re-logged, Yes it was, but the first water source was removed in the test. So I can not confirm if I place two server-read water sources
This seems to be an issue with lag. I'll look deeper into it, but I don't see too much that can be done.
Okay, I was just trying to help, I know that you have water limited to prevent griefers. I know that I get this issue more times than others, I mainly realize it while mining and when i run into lava pools
