Question relating pets after being fixed. When you name one of your pets and do /pet hide and then /pet show it wipes the name and resets it back to 'DiamondDesire's Pet', Before pets were broken and fixed again in the past I feel like the pets used to keep the name that you have given them when you hide and show them but cannot 100 percent remember. Anyone know the answer to this? Thanks, DeeDee
If I recall correctly; if you hid the pet and showed it again it did not wipe the name, only when you remove the pet it gets rid of the name.
Having the same problem. When you change the name before hiding it and then when you show it again it uses the last used name. It's not saving new names.
Alright I figured it out. Looks like the pet database file only updates on pet creation, player logouts and server restarts. To save your pet in the database do one of the following (#1 being the best option of course): 1. Spawn the pet with the options you want right off the bat. Example: /pet parrot;sabrina would spawn a parrot named sabrina and immediately log that to the database. 2. Log out & back in once you have altered your pet the way you want it to save that to the database. 3. Wait for a server restart once you have altered your pet the way you want it to save that to the database.
