Here is a video log of my PC dead, PSU shot, and now using my old PC to play minecraft sorry for quality O_O, on my iPod touch 720p,
I havent told you specs and you think it is bad . here are the specs: AMD Phenom II X4 (quad core) at 3.40 GHz MSI Afterburner GeForce GTX 660 OC Edition 1 TB HDD 8 GB RAM Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit I built it myself and the parts are for Christmas, but it was faster than all the computers in my house combined, and a 6-year-old SANYO LCD TV that still works(yet i need an upgrade on that) Planned to get a new moniter that can show the tv and play a game on the pc. here is what i found.
it is confirmed, HDD failed during crash, i will be out for even longer time period. if anything happens (RAM Failure) i may never join ECC in up to a span of months
yeah, but it is worse now, my hard drive crashed and went corrupt during the crash, now i am determined to get a backup drive. at least 2TB... *starts deleting videos*
This happened to me a while back, my hard drive broke, I bought a new one and downloaded windows again, took me a fews days, I was so annoyed
Weatherfreak1, are you still having this problem!? Because I must ask you, did you change ANY settings at all in the bios before your system crashed!? If so, you are going to have to open up your computer, unscrew the CMOS battery, launch the computer, wait 5 minutes... turn it back off, put the CMOS battery back in, and launch it... Also, I'm not very good at following videos, I'm a better reader than anything, so could you please explain to me in words what exactly happened to your computer... were the lights and LEDs still working... but display not showing? Also, I recommend a new power supply if you can, at least 500W to be on the safe side. I have the MSi 660 OC edition as well, along with an AMD FX-6300 and my 530W PSU works fine.
Skullman774 Words on computer: No Signal | and that is a TV The PSU was fried, and the hard drive failed to keep any data from being deleted the 450 psu had never done this. no bios settings changed. and hard drive halfway to california. Discription: Watching Bangarang by Skrillex, Skyping as well. Computer made a scratching sound and something smelled. I cracked open the Pc to find the psu fried, we replaced it with a 300w and not powered the DVD-ROM drive, came up with an error, not even loading up to the OS (windows 7) came up with : DISK BOOT ERROR! PLEASE INSERT STARTUP DISK AND PRESS ENTER. i then looked in the bios to see anything doing that. nothing. my dad to my hard drive to work and confirmed that my hard drive is dead too. Yes the LEDs still work and everything. but it is not loading anything up. now i will be without my computer for at least a week.
New PSU and hard drive, then :L *Edit* Since your system is similar to mine, definitely go with something like 500W or so, so that this doesn't happen again.
yay, except this was on a budget, so i got it cheaper and built it I have the PSU on a warranty, same for hard drive. but i have to reinstall my copy of windows 7 again, and download and upload a ton of stuff. *sigh* that will be hard... what? it has LED lights, the video was choppy, so i guess i can see that
Got the new PSU, still need the HDD, the people sent me a 500W PSU so i am in the clear Skullman774 , I hope that the HDD is at least larger due to my fraps recordings.
