This general question came to me today as I was just wondering down a 1x2 tunnel someone hollowed out. Do you mine all ores or just certain ones? And why? My answer would be, if I am going out to mine solely to collect ores nothing is left behind. If I am looking for specific things in mining world then I will pass up on coal (that's the only thing I pass up on).
When eff7 mining, I always skip coal. It's a pain to fortune along with redstone, and doesn't add much to your profits.
See I disagree, you get between 2-5 coal/redstone with fortune both over $1 per and they're more abundant. I'd say most my profits come from them. That's the purpose of this thread though to see how everyone mines differently.
I should've reworded what I said. I still mine redstone, because it's worth more than coal. But fortuning coal ontop of fortuning redstone is a lot of work for only a tiny bit of profit.
Very true, I also mine them for the xp that I can sell as well in the market. I wish they would bring smelting xp back though.
only worth a dollar?! I used to think that way but then you sit back and think, can you find 25 coal for every diamond? My answer to that would be definitely and too much space, /sell hand for that lol. Thanks for the feed back though greatly appreciated as I stated before this is just a general question for differences in how people mine.
I said not always. Mosly I mine coal but when I go into the mine only for some stone or any material I skip coal
