As of today the 5th of July OptiFine for 1.6.1 is at %80 complete. - fixing MCP mappings - √ - preparing the old branch for merge - √ - merging changes - √ - fixing resource packs - √ - fixing textures - √ - basic functionality - √ - CTM - √ - advanced features - 80% - mipmaps - AA, AF - performance I have seen a lot of hype about this mod and for those who didn't or don't know how to check I thought I should update you all. Almost there! You don't notice how much Optifine really helps until you don't have it for a couple of days.
