Recently I lost a triple skelly spawner at level 30 under the ocean... idk how it was found, but it was sadly :/ What are your thoughts on spawner breaking if the spawner is large? (double+)
People still get EXP from ores so it can never be raised that high also people will start to cut corners and be impatient and set a very low price
The xp from mining has killed the xp market. I don't think spawners account for very much xp coming in compared to hundreds of miners mining.
i also break every spawner i stumble upon. I also grief (per ECC rules of course) any and all parts of a "grinder" that is set up. Sorry just my style
Back 4 or 5 mining worlds ago, LWC was enabled in the mining world and EXP crashed, it is a good thing that it is not enabled. On the topic of destroying spawners, I think it is a good thing. Sometimes I go around and track people down with /near and break their spawners when the EXP price is in a slump.
When I find a spawner I tend to farm the mobs while I harvest the mossy cobble/chests. Once I've finished I break the spawner and move on, simple as that.
I wouldnt go breaking a spawner... If: In use- leave it Undiscovered- auction off a tele to it Undiscovered skelly- /SETHOME!!!!
DSTROY! But its pointless, people are right. Mining is probably the source of most of the experience in the market so I don't see killing spawners helping prices go up...
Actually its not that hard to find spawners. I use a method that just looks at entities in a chunk. I also find chest carts a lot too, but sometimes I just find an item on the ground. On another note, a way to try and make it harder to find your spawner, make sure that when you leave, you make sure the spawner is lit up so mobs (and sounds) don't attract other players. If you have a grinder set up, the more compact the better. Use as little flowing water as possible. Make the exterior look natural. Also make it as deep as possible.
Habitually, I destroy any spawn I find (dungeons) or light them up (mineshafts, etc). I figure: I will not be using it, and I do not want someone else to benefit from what I found first. When I come across other people's spawners, though, I may use them (not changing anything), or walk away and leave them intact. I've had my own spawners broken before, and I know it doesn't feel nice.
I destroy most spawners except if it is a double or triple spawner. Really though if it isn't something rare like that having it destroyed shouldn't be a big deal.
