Its sad really, that with progress comes loss. I am thrilled to have an automatic donations feature, and that will greatly reduce pester for Andrew as well as the wait time that is annoying for all of us. From what I've gathered, the new donations are a plugin of sort, and do not affect the name, hence Andrew has to do each of the names individually (which he has done with VIP). This brings up the question, why? I personally enjoy the [$$$$] tag a lot, and I just got it recently. Many other players also like their money tags. Also, doesn't Andrew have to still do forum medals for donators? I know he does, (and does a great job with them) but how hard would it be to keep up the server profile info? Hes done a brilliant job with the upkeep so far and it is sad to see is abruptly end. Will the forum medals stay? I don't know. Please bring them back! We all love them! Thirdly, on a more personal note, I was debating custom player tags for a long time, and i settled on [Talos] over others because I'd keep the [$$$$]. Now, I'm bummed because I could have had a cooler tag now because I've lost the [$$$$]. Im sure I have do donate again to change it, as there will be no reimbursement for a change of tag. If this is just a casualty of an evolving ECC, so be it. But, I'm aware that other players have similar feelings to me, and we hope this will be confirmed/addressed. Lastly, this brings up a problem with the loan/donation business where players look for players with a lot of donations to be trusted. Now, there's no way to tell if you're a long-playing pres with $400+ USD in donations vs a mayor with no donations who got the money through luck in a lotto or something. It makes it difficult in SG to see who has kits, to plan strategy of attacking or truceing. I cant tell if I pay someone to do pyro if they have pyro or not. It just places a lot in the hands of assumption, and multiple scams have showed me that nothing can be assumed. I'd just like to make a friendly request. I love how much time and effort Andrew puts in the server, and it is a little thing that helps so many players, and would be appreciated by many other players. Have players apply for tags with medals and have gameadmins apply them or... have gameadmins apply the tags when you get a medal Problem solved! (Though the first one seems more likely)
