Minecraft Name: tomicalover Suggestion: An Auction that lets users bid for old towns with 2-3+ month inactive or perma-banned Owners. Reason: About 50% of ECC is made up of towns that have inactive Mayors in them. Why, that's such a waste! But what can we do? With auctioning inactive players' towns, it will allow ECC to become less clogged of unusable space. I am tired of seeing these beautiful towns lay in ECC with a 2-3+ month inactive or permabanned Mayor. So, ECC, why not let people buy them? The old owners won't mind because they're not on ECC anymore. Thank you
How would you feel if you went inactive and came back to a sold town? Would you be angry? Would you be sad? Probably. As well this would take up alot of time for wewin and andrew, so this will probably not happen and this has been suggested many times so I 99.99% guarantee this will NEVER HAPPEN. I vote no. As well an alternative could be auctioning a co-mayor position but they can't remove current members only add members to plots and remove those members but still that could be very messy and if the mayor came back he could remove all of the members that were added so this is just a messy suggestion but its better than what you're suggesting. This will never happen.
That could be an exception. But banned users who may appeal (unlike say rockdassie) wouldn't get their towns auctioned just to be fair.
If I go and get an old user they could tell you how many times this suggestion has been received and each and every time, it is denied, there are far too many problems with this including the fact that the best thing to do would be to have Andrew remove the regions entirely. That way people could create new regions, and quite frankly, the other huge problem with this thread is that every time it is posted, the user in question has no idea how hard it would be to actually accomplish the goal.
