So @kukelekuuk I got my computer back and they had to reset everything now I can't even connect to wifi I get this and ps I can't go to the wireless adapter and fix it.
I can use Ethernet but I want to use wireless. It says I do not have a wireless adapter and I just got my comp back from the stupid people and they had to put in a new hard drive and now this isn't working...
I'm by no means an expert on computer problems, so I suggest you consult someone who has more knowledge about this.
lukewhicker, I've got numerous questions for you: 1) Is this a laptop or desktop? 2) Did the wireless work before taking it to the computer shop? 3) Is the wireless adapter the USB type, or the type that connects to the motherboard internally? 4) IF USB, When you disconnect and reconnect the wireless adapter, does your operating system make a noise like its detected/removed? * If this is a laptop with proprietary wireless, skip this question. 5) Does the device manager see the device? If so, are there any caution signs next to the adapter? 6) Do you have another wireless adapter you can test in place of your wireless adapter? From what I gather: 1) When they reformatted your system.. they did not install the wireless as they did not have the drivers. If this is a desktop, connect with the ethernet cable just long enough to install drivers (from Windows or the wireless adapter site) . If laptop, your laptop manufacturer should have the drivers on their website you can download and install. 2) You may have a bad wireless dongle or bad USB port, if that's how your system is setup. I'm guessing it could be a driver issue, but please keep me in the loop. I'll help out where I can! If push comes to shove, with your permission... I can TeamViewer remote into your system to look at the issue. -b14
Thanks guys. Idk what happened I turned it on today and it can connect? Idk what happened thanks for the support!
If you don't want to do a factory reset, then you better order a new wireless adapter. This problem happened to me and I ended up replacing the wireless adapter.
